Question Regarding the thread above would you say that the more use of conditioner Prevents less Dead Ends !
Thanks for you Answer
Axel

Hey Axel-
All I can really do is speak from trial and error regarding my own hair-type and how it responds. The photo is only around a month and 1/2 ago as to where I am now.
At the 2 year mark I was plagued by Split-ends (or dead ends?) like you wouldn't believe. I was losing TONS of hair. Tangles, snarles and tearing hair out by the roots! Once the "Splits" were isolated and removed the tremendous loss of hair abated........but there was still much shedding.
As I progress, I notice so little shedding you wouldn't believe. I believe Absaloms theory to be correct about the added weight.
But experiment after experiment has lead to the following routine which seems to be working fine and I so far see no evidence of "Splits" or "Dead Ends" as referred to.
Here is what presently works for myself:
1.) The hair is presently washed once a week.
2.) Shampoo is given twice........but ONLY to the top of my head. I let the water wash the Shampoo down the length.
3.) Tons of Conditioner is then applied to the length only and squeezed into it gently. A "little bit" is only allowed to be spread over the top of my head and NONE reaches the scalp.
4.) Around 10 minutes or so the conditioner stays put as I shower the rest of me.
5.) Then, I wash away all to a point which leaves some conditioner behind.
6.) All is towel dried gently and allowed to dry on its own in the air.
7.) When all is just about dry (about 1 hour) I begin "Finger-Combing) starting at the bottom and slowly working my way up. Sometimes I follow this up with a very wide toothed comb.
Right now I see absolutely no evidence of splits. Most of the hair at the ends is still rather thick, so I guess terminal is still a ways off in my case. I can't say I am 100% certain that conditioner has done this, but I can say that without conditioner regardless of what type hair you have you are looking for trouble. Summary: Conditioner is a must!
Well, hope this helps.
All the best -
Justin~

Thank You Very much for Answering my question regarding condition In Addition I leave my condition on between 30 minutes an hour at a time sometimes its left on longer than an hour just depends how much time ive got to spend on my hair !
Thanks so much for your Answer it is appreciated by me
Axel
Are you two serious about conditioner? My hair is only down to my mouth, so it's not nearly as long as yours, but I wash, rinse, condition, then rinse like a minute later. Should I leave it on longer even if it's not really long yet?
