here are my one year shots, letme know what you guys think. my mom does not like this long hair business one bit; she says it always looks uneven and oily. i plan to let it keep going, tho, as i am pleased with it mostof the time.
Thats great progress for a year - it looks fantastic. Dnt give into pressure from your mother, if you're happy with it then keep growing!
I'd love to see some more progresss pics, maybe one of the back and tailed etc...

Hi there,
That's great progress and the looks great and do keep it growing and I would certainly ignore what you mum says. Sometimes they link they know best!!!
Look forward to update pictures soon.

Your mum is mad, your hair looks great. Just hug her more and tell her you love her. She will then associate all that love with long hair.
Tyler
Your Mom loves you and wants what's best for you, however you are your own person. BE WHO YOU ARE! She will eventually respect you and love you for that. Oh, and you look good with long hair. Really good......
Hey Kevin, Great progress man, defiantly keep it growing, the longer it gets the better it will look, Alot of Parents just dont like Change, when your mum sees how good its gonna look and how happy you are with it, She will come round, You'll see

Hi Kevin,
You have a very nice hair texture - straight and very soft and shiny. Your hair is going to look very long in another year at shoulderblades length. You're halfway there(and longer!) so keep it growing. As your hair gets longer and the flips on the ends subdue your mum's negative comments will change into positive ones, you will see. Keep away from trimming for now, the extra weight of added length will pull your hair down and remove these flips. All the best, Jean.
Looking really great for the 1st year! :-)
As for "precious Mothers," what would life be like without opinions of that sort. LOL
Keep up the good work.
Looking great Kevin!
You have every reason to be pleased with it - keep up the great progress.

Your hair is looking great mate.
I have exactly the same issue with my parents. You get used to it after a while.
That looks awesome man. Don't listen to comments from anyone who doesn't like it, even if she is your mom. Do exactly what YOU want with your hair! :)
It does look good though, besides, somewhat oily hair = healthy hair.
Looks great so far Kevin, you have a nice color, it will look even better as it grows. Definitely keep it growing!
If anyone thinks your hair looks oily, then maybe it could be. Some people produce an overabundance of oil and have to wash their
hair more frequently than others.
Anyway, do you wear your hair in a tail yet? Well, if not as soon
as you are able to do it...do it! It will satisfy most people's need for 'neat-looking' hair.
Long hair is NOT for everyone: there are MANY factors involved. Sometimes
YOU are okay with it, but your loved ones are NOT. When THAT
happens you have to make difficult choices: Is
it worth it, etc.
Anyway, congratulations!
Holy crap! That looks almost exactly like my hair (and it's just over the one-year mark)
Don't you just hate it how parts of it will curve in weird directions?
Kevin
Your hair looks great and its your hair and its you who should decided weither you should grow it long or cut it, I myself would suggested you carry on growing it to as long as you want it as its down to you to take care of your hair ie Conditioning & shampoo even drying your hair. Keep your hair away from Hairdryers to as they damage your hair.
Also tell your mum its your hair and you should have it how you want next time she gives you a comment about having it cut tell her that !
Best of Luck Growing your hair longer
Axel
Your hair is looking good. I expect mine will look kind of similar when I achieve that length.
Yes, mothers and their opinions of our hair. I'm hoping mine will eventually come around, but I'm not holding my breath. Hope you have better luck.

Hi Kevin,
your hair looks great - keep it growing! Your mother is trying a trick you into "hair perfectionism", trying to get you "fussy" about your hair. Your mother knows that "hair perfectionists" tend to give up their hair journey because it "never" grows right - so, just don't take in any of her arguments! Let your hair be uneven, let it do its thing, let it be "oily", or whatever, but stick with it, it looks great, and it's part of you!
Have fun and peace,
Hans-Uwe
P.S. Next time you mother is fussy about your hair, just suggest that her left eye color doesn't quite match her right eye color, plus, it's a bit uneven, and maybe she should have that fixed ;-)
I think my Mum is doing this too. I might be paranoid, but I think she hopes I'll go in for a trim, and walk out with far too much gone, and therefore get sick of it all and give up.
Sorry Mum. That ain't gonna happen!
Luke
