Hi, this may have been asked before (I think I remember helgast asking when he still had long hair).
Is there a product that give a damp like appearance to the hair throught the day?
Lots of gel, but that will make your hair feel fragile, so could try some vaseline or "hair food" or hair wax, both will make your hair look wet and feel really bad (especially in hot weather)
Yea, thats what I want to avoid, is there anything besides splashing water on my head ever 20 minutes (which I often do) that will keep my hair damp all day without the side effects of gel drying and getting itchy, then running when you swet lol.
Sebastian Wet, Bret Hart(former WWE wrestler) said he used this back in the day.
I am also interested in this subject. There is nothing better than the 'wet look' on curly hair. I saw this lady that works in the chemist and she had like dark, mid back curly hair that had that moist appearance. I felt like asking here what she puts in her hair to get that look but i was too shy. She had beautiful curls.
I have yet to get a bottle but i believe coconut oil is really good at acheiving the lasting wet look. Not only does it give you the nice wet look but it is also good for your hair because it lubricates it and makes it soft and prevents drying and frizz. My hair looks the best right after i step out of the shower. When my hair is wet it is dark black(dark brown whilst dry) and the curls really show their length.
Moose is another option but i don't like the texture it gives to my hair, makes my locks hardened, and also i dislike putting too many products in my hair, that only spells trouble. I think helgast used to use gel on his hair but i'm sure that once the gel dries you loose the look. Another thing you could do is never wash your hair and let the scalp oils do their thing, that would give you a wet look :)
Try Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine. I think you'll really like it. You can get it at Wal Mart and it isn't very expensive.
Thanks, I'll give it a try, I bought some coconut oil today, so I'll try both.
The coconut oil is effective for lots of things like keeping your hair looking nice and under control, but in my experience, it does not keep it looking wet all the day.
Just my opinion, but whenever you have posted pictures, your hair being dry looked very good, if not better than the wet hair pictures. Like another said, anything product that has your hair looking wet all day is also going to make the hair icky and crunchy and stiff, and I for one do not like that.

Helgast once had such a project...something from L'Oreal, I believe? Melting Gel? Er...something like that. Sorry, I can't remember if that's it.
I've seen a girl that mixes gels to get a very consistent wet look with really defined curls. She uses Suave Aloe Vera gel, a kind of salon gel called AnGell, and something from Fruit of the Earth. She washes her hair with just conditioner prior to applying these, and gets a really cool look.
