I've tried growing my hair out several times in the past and never been happy with how it came out. I've got thin hair in front and an odd cowlick in back, meaning that it tends to grow out rather than down.
Now I'm starting again and wondering if there are any N.Y. barbers specializing in long hair who can help shape the hair in back so it will grow out differently. Or am I just better off looking up in a year, then trying to get it shaped/styled/etc.?
