How would a mullet look on me? Should I go for it?
I happen to love mullets - I actually love mullet/shag type cuts. And you have that beautiful thick, long hair. It would look gorgeous on you - GO FOR IT!! Let me know if you decide to get it- Good Luck
Having grown mine to about the same length as yours (and then very sadly had it cut off for a work interview - Im growing again) I can only say dont do ti. It occured to me when I grew it that real length is a very visual thing. I first noticed it on my wife. She used to have a fringe (bangs) and layers....even though it was long it didnt LOOK long. She decided to grow it one length and blunt cut it accros the back, and now it looks fantastic and it LOOKS long. I did the same thing.... although I had my hair long at the back, it never LOOKED long (or felt long inside my mind) until I grew it to one length, including the front. As you no doubt know, there is nothing like having your long front hair hang down over your face, or when you brush or pull it back to give you that feeling that "wow" - I have long hair!!
Anyway, that is my opinion - I guess that everyone has to make up their own mind.
Hell NO! Mullets look absolutely retarded - it's like you can't make up your mind whether you want it long or short. The old saying 'the best of both worlds' definitely does not apply when it comes to mullets. Hideous... just hideous...
if the 'mullet' is well-done, that is the layering is worked through the entire mane instead of just the top & sides- and not administered as a partial buzz-cut; looking like the barber forgot to finish ¾ of the way thru the job. however, i would apply the same 2 week rule to that haircut as is suggested for cutting it off. i wore such a hairstyle for several years and it is a pain in the butt to maintain... should you decide to grow it out you immediately go into the worst of the bad hair phase. get a mullet only if you are seriously considering cutting it all off... because that's the only way you're going to be able to fix a bad one.
That's how you would look with a mullet -- but I think it looks kind of crappie. No matter how koi you act, others will always carp about it. They will assume you listen to Travis Trout or Tuna Turner, or that music with heavy "bass". Your image with others will flounder.
Besides all that, I just don't think you would look good with a mullet (either the fish or the hairstyle). Your hair is nice as it is!
