The length of my hair is like Johnny Depps(when he had long hair of course) and I plan on keeping it that way. I was wondering if it's possible to feather the bangs. I'm not sure if I'm even describing it right. I've seen girls have it but isn't it a natural thing?
Here's a pic for a better description.

Anyways, I want to get it like that because it would make me look sharp and elegant.
Thnx in advance for the replies. :)
LOL, i still don't know exactly what "feathering the bangs" is but why would you want to get it? Layering?
Who's hair are you reffering to in the picture, the slightly receding potential mullety old man or the lady with the awful bob cut? Oh, i'm so slack sometimes :)
Natural is always the best option, so maybe just letting your hair grow without any trimming or layering is the best decision. It's your hair in the end.
hahahaha

lol thought we were talking about hair. I don't have feathers!
Be supportive or keep quiet. laughng at a question is rude. You are not the almighty hair king (or queen)
Jeez, one more fight, YAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWNNNNN.....

ok fair enough, but zero posters don't have any credibility to dictate what i should or shouldn't say.
It's comments like that and your previous remarks that drive people away from this board. I thought the intent of this board was to encourage guys to grow their hair long. Not every man wants midback length hair that is all one length. Some want bangs or fringe, others prefer layers, and others think shoulder length is enough.
For your information, I've posted here on numerous occasions.
And, yes, I do have long hair. Right now it's all to my shoulders, a length that prefer to keep it at. Anything longer just doesn't work for the thickness of my hair.
Ok little guy, I have been on this board for 7 years, posting is not needed as your type come and go asking the same questions. I just get mad when you get to full of yourself and let ya have it. So an old timer came out of the shadows to remind you to be KIND!
your SO called zero poster.....thats a LOL
The only thing that needs a trim in that shot is the feather boa!
80s Metal makes a great point, Cool Guy. Sometimes it's better not to mess with Mother Nature.
I would imagine it's possible, but only for a limited time - as your gets longer and heavier, the bangs will drop to lie flat on the head, so you'd have to continually trim them. I think the lady in the pic used some kind of roller to set her hair or a discreet pin to keep it in place. I don't think gel could do that. Or it could be natural, who knows, lol. Good luck with your featheriness.
I guess it is possible. If you are referring to the lady in the pic, i have always thought those hairstyles are for women. heheheheh. Anyway, you can consult your nearest of favourite hairstylist for these kind of style. I am not sure if you can do it at home, although i guess you could do it with a few instruments.
Cheers!

What you will need:
Round styling brush
Hair dryer
Mousse
Hair spray
What to do:
Apply mousse to wet/washed hair. Blow dry using styling brush while brushing bangs back and outward (depending on how you want feather).
When finished, apply a little spray and you should be set for the day.
Most any lady who lived thru the late 70's/ early 80's should be able to give you pointers as well.
Bangs and feathering are a part of long hair styles. Some people don't prefer them, some do.
The feathering may not be what you are referring to but check some style books or pics of some of the rock n' rollers from the past several decades.
