why does everybody want perfectly straight hair?
People always want something they don't have, believing that the grass is greener on the other side as it were.
Not at all. I have curly hair. I wouldnt want my hair to be anything but curly. When i condition and brush too much the curls come out? :( not good!
looks tidy,easier to maintain,
Perhaps because it appears longer? Or maybe is more maintainable? Possible theories...
I don't want straight hair, i love my curls, but sometimes i like the best of both worlds, hence the heat applied straightening.
I like straight hair because:
- it shows every inch of length, wheras curls hide alot of the length but increase volume as an offset.
-It can look 'neater' in a way
-It is a nice change from the regular curls, an alternative style
To get out of the (apparent) awkward stage faster.
I had fairly wavy hair before I started growing it. I wante straight hair to make it look better. Now that's it's longer and straighter, I want my wavy hair back. :-(
straight hair often looks smooth. the only thing i don't like about having curly hair is that mine can look coarse sometimes
To me, curly hair at its best looks really soft and comfy, even, whereas optimal straight hair looks shiny and silky-smooth. So it's sort of smoothness versus softness, even though the two are related, and straight hair can be fairly soft sometimes.
before you were able to tie back your hair, what did it look like every morning? was it frizzy/nappy/normal? lol
Well, first off, I don't tie back my hair at night because I can't sleep with it - it's too tight if it's a normal ponytail, and a loose pony sticks out when I try to sleep on my side (yes, I have that much hair, lol). So for the moment, it's a frizzy, flat-sided mass like some trampled clump of swamp moss when I wake up, lol.
When my hair was shorter, though, things were WAY worse. Believe it or not, every time I woke up, my hair was sticking straight up on two sides of my head like horns. My Mom used to dread coming in the room in the mornings, and every morning I franticually patted the hair horns down before she came in like some bizarre ritual. After months of this, I started waking up with a side of my hair totally flattened in and the sides out, so it looked like some nocturnal lawnmower had eaten right through a patch of my head, lol. Bad memories, I tell ya.
And no, no pics of any of this.:P
ok hehe i just wanted to make sure i wasn't the only one who had this problem lol my elder sister said i look like a troll doll when it happens lmao
At least not everybody. I cartainly don't want straight hair. I like mine the way it is.
