Hi,
I have hair that is now just beyond my shoulders. Everytime I shower to wash my hair I keep my hair in the parting it was in when dry.
This may sound like a non-sensical question, but is it recommended that you prise away the parting before washing hair? I ask this because I often find myself trying to get a natural parting, for more root lift. Once you are comfortable with a parting is it best to stick to it?
I've seen people who brush all their hair back before they shower, and this intrigued me.
If you got this far, thanks for reading!
Hi Jerry,
I don't see any problem with leaving your hair parted while you wash it.
I've always washed/rinsed mine with my head tipped up (looking up at the cieling). This leaves my hair pretty much the way I normally wear it. I don't have to mess with it much after washing. Just a gentle finger combing with a little Jojoba oil on my fingertips when dry.

Hello there!
I use to leave my hair parted to wash it... I've read in several places that it's the best to do, and I also believe that back combing causes hair breakage =S Anyways, just do as you wish and as you think that works best for you... Good luck =)
Thanks for the replies :)
