somewhere near Cairo, GA!
I am so slack about posting up pictures, but I was riding along yesterday, and took a few pictures.
Well as you can see, the hair doesn't look too long in those shots, this is the 'work' style hair, just rinsed, combed, and a slight amount of melting gel to keep it all neat. The ends curl up so much it looks almost short sometimes.
It is crazy how when it is wet (actual length) it will touch the shoulders and top of the back, then dry (effective length) is so much shorter, like by a 50% length reduction.
The only problems I've been having of late is an occasional tangle or snag. I was combing my hair last night and hit a snag and it sounded more like a rip, although I was being super careful, I let a streak of cuss words go that would make a sailor blush! I guess I will have to be more careful. I'm getting a slight trim in May, and best of all lately, no disparaging comments from said employer!
I am still undecided on how I like the white coming in in the beard though.
Any comments/criticisms/whatever is welcome.
See ya later, bragi
This should post now.

3rd time's a charm...
I like getting a good look at you, my friend! :-)
Elizabeth
Thanks, Empress!
Obrigado, meu amigo brasileiro!
Great photo. I think it is avatar material. It's good to finally get to see what "Bragi" actually looks like :)
The beard really looks great and i think the patch of grey looks totally natural and is a sign of wisdom and maturity :)
The hair, nice curls and stuff. I can SO understand what you mean about a reduction in length of about 50% once it dries.
When i shower or straighten my hair , the 10 inches i have aquired really shows off :)
When i tie my hair in a ponytail and then sleep on it, the curls compress together and gets flattened and sometimes i actually fool myself thinking that my hair has "shrunk"!!! It's really weird how my hair can morph and change shape depending on the variables that affect it.
I think that maybe you could get away with growing it a few inches longer as the length will fill out a bit more and look better and longer. The fact that your effective length is greatly reduced whilst dry shouldn't cause any problems with work and if it's tied back in a ponytail neatly. Doesn't it suck that you have to limit your hair length because of your job in the banking sector?
If they didn't care about your hair length do you think you would grow it alot longer or you are happy with this current length?
Congrats on becoming a mod. I knew all along that you were one of the most worthy people of such a position. Take care Bragi.
Thanks, 80's for the compliments. Certainly I would grow it much longer if I had the opportunity (which will come!). If I had not been keeping it trimmed, it would be almost to the middle of the back by now. I stopped being upset because of any limit being placed on hair length because of work, and just enjoy what I've got right now, knowing that I'm laying plans for a career change :-). More on that later.
Looking very suave, Bragi! Very nice pic, the grey looks fine as it is. And the curly hair looks very cool too.
Thanks, Chris G!
Well !
Don't you just look disgustingly pleased with yourself? HA!
Great photo, Hair looks good and the curls are just perfect for Georgia humidity.
Thanks for sharing
WWT
Thanks, Walter! Yes, the higher the humidity, the better the hair, well for me at least.
...and a charm it is - Great shot Bragi!
The hair and beard look fabulous.
Thanks for sharing this update on-the-go.
- Oren
Thanks, Oren! Wish I could one day try to rival you in the beard department!
Wow, it looks great Bragi! I like how the curls rest on your shoulder. I think the gray in the beard looks good and gives you character. I too am getting gray in my beard at the same spot. Thanks for the update!
Thanks, Bodhi! Maybe, just maybe, one day, in the future, I can approach the awesomeness that is your hair!
Meant to say:
Thanks, Bodhi! Maybe, just maybe, one day, in the future, I can attain the level of awesomeness that you exemplify hair-wise!
Or something like that, I confuse myself!
Thanks alot Bragi, I appreciate it.
Awwww Great picture man !!!!
Thanks, Axel! I'm not so very photogenic usually.
Well, for what it's worth, I think your hair and beard look awesome, and suit your face perfectly. I can imagine you with mid-back hair draped over your shoulders, and I'm sure this won't be kept to the imagination too much longer, when your next line of prog pics comes rolling around. In other words...don't give up!
Best of luck in the continued journey.
Thanks for the compliments, and I REALLY hope you are correct with your prediction!
See ya later, bragi
I have to admit I love the peaceful symbolism connected with the look. Were there actually a lot of male hippies that wore flowers in their hair? On the right occasion I'd wear it publically...
