I am going to let mine grow out but my problem is I have fine hair with a little body. Also, thinning. Are there any thoughts regarding these issues. I don't want to look like an sparse haired dog.
beware of this pic! I need some sun!
trying to attach a pic...although not a good one.
I have fine and thin hair too. I don't worry about it.
I too have fine(thin)hair, but as it continues to grow, the longer it gets the fuller it looks. I attribute this to using lots of conditioner.
It is more noticable at the stage you are in, but your hair looks great, and no doubt you need not dispare. Wish I had a pic of myself when at your stage as a demo but don't. All I have can be seen if you click on my avatar. There you will see the results of thin hair at a longer length.
Good luck to you in the growing-out process.
Thanks for the comments! Will continue to check in with you guys!
I have both fine and thin hair (because I'm old!).
One thing you can do, once it gets as long as mine, is to braid it when it's wet from a shower, and take it out of the braid when dry. This makes it look fuller. See the comparison pics below:

Thanks Pat... Will keep that in mind...seems like (from the pics I've seen) that if you pony tail it up wet then let it down seems to have more volume?
Thanks,
Eli
That won't work nearly as well as braiding, and you may wind up with a "ponytail crease".
gotcha! Wouldn't have thought out that one.
You have lots of company.
Be patient, as your progress may appear slower than some of the younger folks with thick, straight, heavy hair (Blast them!! HA!).
Be very gentle and kind to your hair and avoid harsh shampoos. The awkward stage will last forever (so it seems). If you develop severe "frizzies", try using olive oil for a conditioner.
Suddenly one day you will wake up to fuller looking and controllable "Fur".
Good Luck and keep us posted.

Thanks for the advice and support. I drive a jeep and it is causing a problem. Going to start wearing a tight hat.
Thanks and I will keep monitoring and posting.

That shampoo and conditioner helped my fine hair have more body and look quite a lot better.
I will give that a try.I need a change. I am using Kiehl's Amino Acid and Aveda Rosemary mint. Alternate between the two.
Thanks,
E
