I dont know if its early sign of male pattern baldness or its just that naturally my hair is kinda thin, but I dont know, its hard to tell unless I stick a scope inside my hair and really check it out. Any advise??

I think if theres any MPB it would start here.... I dont know, I hope not!
I have the same thing man, and im turning 17 in July. At the very top of my scalp the hair is quite thin and you can see my scalp, but as of late its been getting a bit better as my hair grows due to me taking daily multivitamins and drinking more healthy, such as water.
My hair is very fine and thin, especially my bangs, but im still growing mine out (its about shoulder length), and as the days go by it seems to get better.
You look considerably older than me though haha, so i dont really know if its balding, i wouldnt worry much about it if i were you though. Grow your hair out long and once its longer people wont pay so much attention to that spot. Im still in high school and i see a lot of guys that have that, even with short short hair, they have thin scalp hair and its very visible, its not that uncommon as far as ive seen.

Treat this as a may update...
I don't know much about MPB, but how freshly washed is your hair in these pics? After a few days, my part really lets you see the scalp if it's brushed back. You can also see a lot of the scalp under my cowlick in the back.
Then again, your hair-count may be totally different than mine. Each of your individual strands is a lot thicker, though. Even if it is hairloss, don't worry about it. Long hair is long hair.
Hi there, it's hard to tell from photographs - only time will tell! It may just be the light and the way your hair is falling naturally showing the contrast between the scalp and the (gorgeous) blackness of your hair. I love all long hair, but I think oriental/asian straight black hair is probably my favourite of all. Anyway, the pic with the alice band doesn't seem to indicate receding at the temples which is another classic pattern and the back view looks perfectly okay. Hopefully it is just the way your hair is falling as it gets longer - it doesn't look obviously balding but, as I say, only time will tell. Keep on growing it regardless and try not to worry.
I dont know dude. Some people have really thin hair. Its hard to tell. Have your hair always been this thin? If so, then no problem. But if your hair had been always thick and if u r losing a lot of hair recently, then i guess it is balding. U better ask someone who knows. And as the previous poster said, if the hair is wet, it will look really thin. That could be the reason also.
GOod luck.

My hair was this thin always I think, as recently as 2 years. I dont know before because I didnt take much notice to it before
then we can post on the buzzboard lol.
My grandfather is hitting 74 and he still has a full, thick hairline of hair. He has a buzzcut but has the capacity and ablility to grow loooong full hair, just like any 15 year old kid, well maybe a little grayer :)
Alot of guys that come into my work have skullets and ponytailed skullets. young(Long hair) in the back, (bald) old man in the front. lol
lol, yeah i see a lot of older dude with a full head of hair...hopefully ill be one of them that keeps my hair.

Hello Everyone,
Here is an example of a person of a certain age who still has long hair today, he is a famous artist in Québec named Armand Vaillancourt. He is now 76 years old and still has a full head of past shoulder-length hair. For those who live in San Francisco he built the well known landmark Embarcadero Fountain.
Have a nice day,
Georges in Montreal
A brief description of the artistYes, you are balding, a couple of the pictures that you posted showes it clearly and some of the others do not, however if you start very soon with the proper treatment you may very well reverse the process. I strongly recommend Avodart and Rogaine. If you wait too long there will be nothing that you can do to reverse the process as the follicles will be permanently dormant.
That is a bit pre-conclusive i think, Jeff. As others said, it could be he has naturally thin hair and also, photos don't show everything in detail. He should see a hair specialist before forming any conclusion on his condition. I won't deny it though, i do see a thin spot at the back of the head, which may gradually increase with the onset of MPB.
The thin patch doesn't look grim or overly serious but i would definately keep an eye on it, just to make sure it doesn't get bigger. Your hairline at your forehead is full and thick, it just seems to be the back of the head where the noticeable 'thin spot' shows.
I would be wary of jumping to conclusions here. My wife (yes I know she's female and that's different LOL) has very fine hair and you can see her scalp in a similar way to yours. I think it may well be the fineness, the dark colour contrasting against your scalp and the 'flattening' of the hair on the head as it gets longer that give this appearance.
From your recent posts, you aren't a very happy bunny at the moment in any event. I wouldn't worry too much about this and would concentrate more on practising your best smile in front of the mirror and feeling pleased with those rather natty T-shirts you keep running up!!
If you ARE going bald, there's not a lot you can do about it anyway - if there was a cure for baldness, no-one would be bald. Just accept the things you can't change and be happy with all your positive points.
All the best,
Laurence
hi taifu,
i fully understand your worries but this bald spot doesn't seem to look serious yet ... but - as 80's mentionedd - keep an eye on it an maybe see a dermatalogist if u think it's becoming bigger ...
losing hair does not automatically mean u go totally bald ...
if u have stress, permanent worries, missing vitmins due to 'wrong' eating behaviour or something else u can also lose hair but it's only temporary if u do something against it (changing diet, less stress etc) and ur hair will grow back ...
i also have very fine hair in combination with a fast greasing scalp and on the 3rd day after my last hair wash i also sometimes see little spots where i can see my scalp ...
but that's not cos of hair loss - it's cos of fine hair and a greasy scalp ..
some things to 'calm' your conscience:
- check your hair loss (after brushing/combing, after showering/bathing, and generally)
- visit a dermatologist (a visit does no damage and if there is really a prob he can help u)
- check out if this little spot is also visible after washing your hair and letting it dry (then your hair less greasy than before and maybe u only got a bad, greasy day when seeing this spot)
i sometimes also worry about my hair (not hairloss but grow rate) so i totally understand u ...
much luck and let it grow !
