Using a mirror really helps taking photos, so here's some current photos of my hair, almost 6 months after last haircut.
What's sort of confusing these days is people's comments - they really depend so much on my current daily styling.
Some of my friends like the "beatles look" (as on the photo of 2006-04-15), e.g. the bangs hanging down without any stiling/gel/spray/wahtever, and keep expressing their dislike against me using spray and making a parting (as on the current photos), whereas others react in the complete opposite way. This is really crazy. As a result, I really try not to pay too much attention to their comments. Maybe this is caused by them not being used to seeing my with longer hair... :-)
As to me, I really really enjoy this longer hair, and I can't wait for the bangs to be long enough to tuck them completely behind my ears, so I can stop using spray to make a stable middle-parting .
Any comments welcome.

Looking good. I know what you mean by the hairspray thing. I too am at that stage. My last haircut was in November. Keep it up! Another 8 months or so and you should be able to tuck it back behind the ears.

I know what you mean. Fortunately I'm getting some positive comments now and then.
I am also using some hairspray, though it depends. In my job, I relieve for staff by going around the various branches when they aren't at work . Last week I was working in this one place where it's always windy, so I went out and bought some hairspray. Problem prety much solved, until yesterday I went to a friend's get-together in that same town, right next to the river, and my hair was a disaster area.
That exactly what I have thought recently.

The hair is looking great, Alex. When i was in your stage i was so frustrated that my bangs were not long enough to tuck behind my ears in a centre part. Copious amounts of gel and back combing(slicking hair back) remedied this problem, that is until my hair grew longer to tuck. Now i get a full ponytail and it is just such a relief. The thing i noticed with growing hair...it gets easier month by month as it gets longer.
Good to see that you are so determined to have long hair and i can tell that this is a goal that you will fulfill and achieve. Good luck in the coming months and just enjoy it while it grows. Cheers, Jean.

I'm actually trying to grow my hair (lol it's only been 2 months after my last hair cut) and it is arriving just over eye line. I'm actually comparing my hair progress over your's, and I think my hair is growing the same way yours is, although, mine is thiner and red, but it actually ressembles to your 4 months hair :p .
I'm actually having a few remarks ("cut your hair" "helmet", etc basic remarks) from various friends at school, but I don't care, when it'll become messier, I will be on holiday (in about 5 weeks :p), so no one will have the possibility to critisize my hair.
You are maybe still into the awkward phase (experts will confim), but I actually love this messy hair style it gives.
Keep it growing, it is suiting you perfectly ;)
PS: What is your final lengh?

to be honest, i have no clue. right now the "i want it longer!" feeling is prevailing, and there's a good chance that feeling stays for some more time ;-)
