I caught some old tv show the other day called Dark Shadows from 1970 and noticed that the men's hairstyles were all relatively long compared to many actors on tv today who wear military style cuts.
Do you think that this trend is reversing?
I seemed to notice some pop stars growing their hair out a bit.

That must have been during the `hippy' era when guys STARTED to grow their hair long!
That's when I started growing mine. First it was the bangs across the forehead. Then came the partial over-the-ear look. About '73 I stopped getting cuts. By '74 I was struggling to keep my chin-length style turned under at the bottom. After countless other longish-to-long styles, by '85 I said what the heck and just went with the long and straight thing most of you guys probably wear. To heck with fashion.
At this hippy time I was a teen. I remember that there was a big resistance against long hair from almost the whole society. But hair feelings were very great. And one could share them with the women. I think today we have much more liberty repective long hair for men as at this time. And we have more guys with long hair, not only longer hair.
