Hello everyone. I have been growing my hair for around 14 months and i am now starting to notice im getting split ends on nearly half my bangs. It is not like most peoples split ends however, the ends of the hair just have a white bit coming out, i know hard to explain. Im also seeing alot of my longer hairs are having a white spot around 1 cm from the tip, the hair after the white spot usually just breaks off. What is happening, thanx.
I have noticed this as well but they did not start appearing until after 3 years. I found the white budded hairs eventually broke off like you said and then split where the bud was I trimmed my hair to get rid of them but I waited over a year before doing so.
I'm pretty sure that those 'white buds' are just the sign that a hair is naturally falling out (i.e. a part of the '100 hairs day, you naturally lose' clan.)
I certainly wouldn't trim them!
No it is not the root he is referring to it is a white bud near the end of the hair an inch or two up.
