Hey Everyone
As of right now my hair is blonde, straight, and evenly cut to around shoulder length and maybe a few inches longer. It is in good condition but I am bored with the look, most of my friends (girls included) think I should get a hair cut, but all agree that long hair suits me much better than short. So there is no way Im going all the way cut because I love my hair too much, I am just hoping to try a different style. I wont cut it shorter than around mouth length in the front and neck length in the back. So I guess what Im wondering is where can I find some good pictures to show a very reliable hair stylist when I get a trim? Im trying to go for a Kurt Cobain look (like you havent heard that before...I actually hate Cobain...) Anyways if any of you have some pictures of straight blonde hair around mouth-chin length, feel free to share.
BTW the decision is not final, I still might just keep it growing and forget what my friends think.

I personally would be very careful about cutting anything just because some seem to be bored - hair-cutting experiments arising out of boredom usually lead to deep regrets. Another sure source of deep regrets is to allow your acquaintances and friends to talk you into a hair cut that, deep in your heart, you don't really want - there are so many stories about that...
Instead, I'd try reversible things such as a half-tail, one braid, several braids, even buns, or some kind of "corn rows", just about anything you can do without cutting. Too bad, Jarkko's pictures aren't online any more, they were extremely instructive about the kinds of things you can do with your kind of hair. In any case, your options increase exponentially as you gain length.
If your hair is getting less interesting for the time being, just choose a standard long hair style for a while (such as a standard pony tail) and forget about your hair for the time being. Soon, there will be a time where you get even more and even better ideas - and all that without cutting!
I agree, a "Kurt Cobain"-type hair style does not necessarily look bad, but then you can do only that particular hair style, and you'd have to either cut even more (yuk) or to wait again for many months until you can try other things... (Beside, DON'T wear any hair style that reminds you of someone you don't like...)
Just a slightly crazy thought - you also can experiment with your sartorial styles (and provoke your friends) - and that's all fully reversible within five minutes (e.g. a Scottish kilt ;-) or check out pictures from Renaissance festivals, for instance...

I have to agree with Hans-Uwe, don't do anything drastic. I have in the past and regretted it til my hair grew back out. Any updated pics so maybe we can give you more ideas?

Hey, ummagumma, Hans-Uwe gave some good advice certainly, but I can understand how you may want to try something different.
The best possible hair style or length that you could possible have is the one that you like best without influence from outside forces. Now, that being said, you do have lots of options with such straight hair like yours.
I don't know if you're a Keith Urban fan, but he has a cool longish length razor cut layer style. Now, it would take a while to grow back and get rid of the layers, and I don't think it would be tail-able, but as you requested, it is a style of the length you requested. Picture should be at the top.
If you remember Sorted too that used to post here a lot, he kind of kept the bangs a little shorter than the back to create contrast, and had the blond hair like you.
