It seems my part is a little wide. Odd part is I've been having an itchy scalp, and just combed to find white residue on the comb. I've noticed if I part my hair in a different place it looks much thinner? Is it possible I've been parting it in the same place for too long, I've been doing that since I started growing my hair back in oh, say 1997. I notice the itching seems to be in the same spot as my headphones sit when recording, could that be a cause?
Though I have not seen more shedding than normal, my hair does seem thinner overall. Is this just aging? Going Bald? If so, then I'm not going down without a fight that's for sure.
The odd part is thinning seems to be related to the itching.
Every man's worst nightmare is the realisation that he is going bald!
It is totally normal to be worried about your hair and potentional MPB.
Honestly, from what i can see, your hair looks perfectly normal and there is nothing to worry about.
Your scalp looks a little red and inflammed. Do take care whilst combing/brushing and don't put excessive pressure or force on the scalp. The dandruff problem is easily solved, simply spread your sebum off the scalp across the hair shaft with a comb. Anti-dandruff products are just big corporate money makers and in addition to only working marginally and having to keep using the stuff, it also dries your hair out and frizzies it big time!
I know, I'm hoping it's just that silly hair place making me into a hypochondriac. The woman working on it had one HELL of a reaction. I think I'm going to change places.
That's great to hear. My scalp has been red for some reason for the last few months. I'm starting to wonder if I'm allergic to the plastic in my headphones or something crazy like that, since it seems the area is related to where the band portion goes over my head.
I dunno, I'm surprised I even have dandruff. I know this much, the any hair issues I'm having now don't surprise me that's for sure considering where I lived for 7 months prior to now (a house with too many animals that nobody had time to keep up with, can you say sulfur in the air?).
Your part looks fine to my eyes and I really wouldn't worry about it. About the itching: perhaps the headphones touch and irritate that area? Usually in the Summer if I am out in the Sun too long the skin that gets the Sun in the part may turn color from sun exposure.
Hair is brittle, especially when wet. Comb gently and treat all with care and you may well find much less falling out. As it gets longer, less and less should be noticed falling out. A certain amount of loss is normal on a daily basis. Meanwhile, new growth will have begun to replace the old which has finished-up its cycle of growing.
