Hey everyone, it's been a few weeks since I've posted here, just thought I would drop by, and let everyone know that I have been having higher self esteem about my hair, I am glad it is starting to part down the middle, still has a ways to go, but I think there might be a way around the awkward stage if you have hair that curls or has wavs or even flips. What I have been doing is after my shower, I would softly dry the hair just a LITTLE bit with the towel, so it is not soaking wet, then I go and grab my beanie, and I wear it for 45 minuites...it dries my hair, and WA LA no flips...No curls...it doesn't look as bad as if I didn't do that. I would rather have a few wavs than the flips lol, cause those really get on my nerves lol.
here is a pic of my natural wavy hair when it is NOT straightned. which I have done to help get passed awkward stage also. using the st8ner changes the texture and then I am able to swing it around much easier.
I think the side part looked better, but the natural curls work for you.
Your hair will grow out nicely over the months ahead. Very healthy and shiny-looking.
You might have a bit of trouble during the awkward phase but I wouldn't worry about it too much.
The hat is a good idea for setting your hair and will help to control flips, etc.
Good Luck!
That's a great idea man.
You have the whingers who complain about how bad the awkward stage is and how they are going to get a trim or cut it off, then you have the guys who experiment and try new things to cope and make it more bearable. Glad you found a setting method that helps 'tame' your hair and make it look good.
THat works for some people. I, personally dont like that look on me coz it makes my hair look flat. But if u like it, then you have found the absolute secret to get through awkward stage. :)
Good luck and CHeers!

Ahhh you get the same flips as me.
As your hair gorws longer this meathod become more difficult to do, and soon you may not be able to do it.
My own hair quite happily sticks some distance out of a beanie, keeping those damned flicks!
Good to see your hair has parted, I cant part my own quite yet, but its not far off.
Hope this meathod works longer for you than it did me :P
