Well since I can't grow my hair out long (since it looks pretty bad the longer it gets), Its kinda cool to see my brothers hair progress. When I took these he was like "what the hell are you doing?" lol
Looks like your bro has a nice curly head of hair goin on there. I know how you feel about the bad look with your hair. Mine is probably close to 11 inches long and should be ending with the awkward stage, but it still looks really bad I think. It looks ridiculous some days with all the flip-ups and poofy areas. And since I'm a guy who takes showers at night, then it can get really bad in the morning when it's completely flat in the back and then it's curled straight up on the ends. Makes me feel doubtful about the growth sometimes but I'm persevering
I used to shower before bed time and put my head on a wet pillow. When i woke up my hairwas tangled and knotty. The back was also very flat and all the length of my curls compressed up, making about 10 inches of hair look about 3-4 inches long, not very nice. Once i woke up and i actually thought my hair had somehow "shrunk" because of the compressing! I ran into the shower and let the water reform my curls, ahhh, relief, still there. Point of the story : make sure you hair is fully dry before going zzzzzz
Oh yea definitely, I've slept with pretty wet hair before and had nasty results in the morning. Usually it's just about fully dry when I go to bed. There's probably some dampness though, since it's thick and drying takes a while
Dude, anyone can grow their hair long. You know how much trouble it's been growing mine? If that guy's your bro, I'm sure you'll have a far easier time than I did. You need to grow your hair to at least shoulder-length to know if your hair is "good" or "bad." Don't be deceived by how crappy it looks for the first year or so. Mine sure looked far worse than it does now.
Also ensure that you're caring for your hair properly. Not doing that's sure to increase the bad look-o-meter.
