not so long ago i was asking my mom what it was like to deal with all of our hair when we were younger. she mentioned that my elder sister was probably the hardest bc it was so heavy. her curls are a little bigger than mine and her hair is heavy and her scalp is so oily. she also mentioned my sister hated dealing with her own hair :p all of us have really thick hair but their hair grows so fast (unlike mine). in 1 month it looks like it's been growing for a longer amount of time =/
anyway once when my sister was washing her hair she couldn't lift her head bc her hair was so heavy. and her hair is about halfway down her back. what in the world could she have that adds so much weight to her hair =/ lol
Well, 2 things - hair is wayyyy heavier when wet, first off, and if your sister was small at the time, the weight might've been too much to handle. Keep in mind the weight of the hair is significantly added to by the fact that she's just got so much hair/volume.
And then, I've noticed that my curls are thicker now that they're longer. When they were short, I just didn't notice them, I suppose, but they truly seem to have become fatter with length. Enough lenght will loosen the curls, of course, but at the moment it's brought them out enough for me to see their true size.
Another thing is that curls like sticking together, or at least mine do. This can lead to curls appearing absolutely obese, lol, but still looking healthy and nice. The problem with them sticking at the ends is that it can form some really nasty tangles if you leave them unattended. Maybe your sister has a couple of these stuck-together curls?
she was 19 when she washed her hair that time (10 years ago) lmao her hair has always been heavier than ours for some reason. for some reason her hair is so heavy she can't deal with it most of the time. she wants to cut it to shoulder length. it used to be all the way down her back and then she cut it to mid-back. she might cut it to shoulder length lmao
another time she put braids in her hair and she was laughing at something on tv. she laughed and fell over and couldn't sit back up. so she asked me to pick up her hair so she could sit up lmao
Im so sorry but i find this so hard to believe because i've never even heard or seen of such a thing before...did you say she fell off the couch when her hair was wet or dry? Im not doubting anything you're saying but i just find it so difficult to beleive since i can't even imagine anything like this. I mean if hair is that heavy even when dry than that's got to be some sort of record holder.
when she was washing her hair she was leaning over a tub. then when she tried to get up and dry her hair she couldn't...she had to wait for it to dry out some before she could get up.
the other time, she fell over laughing (it's normal lol). when she tried to sit back up she realized her hair was too heavy and she couldn't get back up.
Something of an exageration methinks.
I find this very hard to believe aswell. Even if she has very thick, curly, long hair it can't possibly weigh that much. I've seen a lady the other day, thick loooong curly hair to her butt, it looked like it weighed a fair bit. I'd say there might be a bit of exageration. Or maybe she plays it on a bit as a joke?
my mom says the same thing about my sister's hair. it's always been heavy ever since she was a baby =/ i guess i dont know how to explain it any better than this. but these were her exact words whenever she couldnt sit up "my hair is too heavy for me to get back up" =/ lol
all of us have thick thick thick lmao so imagine having almost twice as many hairs on your head as you do now and think of how heavy it would be when it's wet. most of the time my sister keeps her hair up in a bun so she can control it. her hair used to be much longer 10 years ago than it is now. but she hated dealing with it when it was wet because it was too heavy and too much to deal with.
