Does anyone else besides me have a very ROUGH thick feeling to there hair? or am I the only one? my hair naturally feels very rough and I always wanted a smoother hair texture. When I use the hair straightener it gives it a smoother texture feeling.
I think I may have a feeling like that too, but it's probably just because my hair tends to be dry and wavy/curly/frizzy.
My hair is odd - It looks and (sometimes) feels to me like it's kind of rough, but it's actually fairly soft (as others have claimed as well). After showering it feels quite dry too, but starts to improve the more days I go without washing.
I have that exact feeling on my hair, you're not alone.
Well, i like to think of my curls as soft and luxurious. However my dry/damaged ends have a very rough, brittle texture. I am in the process of repairing them through intensive deep condtioning treatments and leave ins. The new growth is healthy and the old, dead ends should dissapear in time and shed away. Now that i know so much about haircare i treat my hair like a fine lace :)
I also notice that straightening my hair makes it feel smoother, although don't over do it, it can get addictive and before you know it you will be doing it every day!
hi,
at first i recommend you not using that straightening thing too often - it may damage your hair ...
i have the opposite hair type of u ... very fine hair and quite smooth/soft ...
but that type of hair also means: less volume, more fragile, easier damaged
i would like to have thick, voluminous hair which don't gets so easily damaged like my hair ... interesting to read that some ppl want to have my type of hair lol
u should accept it (like i did) and make something with your type of hair - and u can make alot of it !
maybe there are products which can make your hair smoother (in changing the surface structure of your hair temporarely) but i would be always careful with such things - they can damage your hair ...
but u should decide for yourself - i am sure your hair will come along great !
