I see he's no longer on the moderation crew and I haven't seen him post in a long time. Has anyone heard from him or at least knows he's alright?
A wise voice whose comments are sorely missed.
I appreciate the kind words and concern. I did leave the moderation crew several weeks ago. Life has just become busier than I can manage, and so I felt that it was a good time to bow out after we got several new and very capable moderators.
Some of you know that I am a teacher (Latin). In addition to a full time job, a family (two children still at home), my wife and I are BOTH working on PhD's. I own a yahoogroup for Latin teachers and share the moderation with one other, and am involved in Classics conferences each year. It's all stuff I enjoy, but we all have to decide how much we can do.
I recently won a National Endownment for the Humanities grant that will allow me to study in Italy this summer for 4 weeks. I am very excited about this.
I do check in on the board now and again, and think very highly of this group of men who day in and day out support each other.
So, I'm still around! Just not as much. Thanks, again, for asking about me.
Robert
I thought you got abducted by aliens...
Cool to hear that all is going well!
Hey Robert!
So nice to see your posted update here!! I have to say that you are sorely missed as a moderator, as well as your great posts here; but I'm very excited for you about your upcoming plans to be in Italy this summer, --- as well as totally understand how priorities can change. I haven't been on the board much either recently (but nobody misses me - lol!)...
Anyway, take care. One of these days I may even drop you a private e-mail, once I catch up with some things at home. Stay well.

Thats not true Ken, I just figured you were having too much fun lately to post. Hope everything is going well for you.
Hey Ken glad to see you are still around
Good to hear from you Robert - and Jason, thanks for asking.
There's nothing better than being too busy pursuing a path that bring you real happiness.
