Hello,
I was wondering how long does the awkward stage last? is it about 4-6 months?
depends on your hair.
I'm just coming out of the awkward stage now (being comfortably able to tuck my hair behind my ears) at just over 10 and a half months... my hair grows at about the average rate of 0.75 inches a month.
So yeah.. expect about 10 months
It varies for everyone depending upon the type of your hair and how it grows. Some people don't experience it at all and others it can be six months.
You can help by using mousse and hair spray to tame wayward hair if it is a real problem at work or school.
Im almost at 10 months and im still at the awkward stage, because my hair is very thick.
I'm gonna say 8-10 months, depending on your hair style, and how you actually look with it, texture, ect. It took about 9-10 for me, because I consider myself out of it now that I can tuck it back. Before that, it was too short to stay back, and just fell over my face, which looks horrible.
So, yeah, give it time. Once it's gone, you'll be glad you weathered it.
4-6 months you say? I've been growing for almost 19 months and i think i am just beggining a second awkward stage!
Well the first part of the awkward stage where your hair wont reach behind your ears wasnt really a problem for me and only lasted a few months, the problem for me was what followed.
The flips which started at around the 12 month mark still persist now at around 20 months of growth, and my hair is just too short to all reach into a pony tail. It does seem however that the more of my hair passes my shoulders, the better the flips are going and i would expect to be able to put all my hair in a pony tail in the next 1 - 2 months and finally exit the flipping stage in about 4 months.
More like about 2 years before all has settled-down pretty much. I think the worst of it spans the 5 months-18 month period.
Yes I agree with that :-0 term of 2 Years
Am I the only one NOT feeling awkward in the awkward phase? :)
I guess it's because of my enthousiasm LOL!
