Anyone else notice that the search function for the forum is broken? Anything can be done?
If you know the subject-name of the topic or the names of the replies you can press control+f (in firefox) to open up a tool that allows you to find keywords in a page. To manurally access this tool, I believe you can click on the edit menu at the top of your browser and select "find in this page". Because the forum is basically one page of compiled topics, this is the function I use.
I wasn't even aware that there's a search function already (un-observant me...). :)
Keywords I usually enter in and find good results with are:
wash
condition
trim
update
etc, to give you a good example of how it can be used.
Sorry if I'm telling you something you already knew about. :P
Indeed we can still search the subjects of the current forum compilation, however the google search for content and forum archive is broken, which is what I pointed.
It works for me. Maybe it got fixed after you posted? I never used it before now, so I can't tell.
Indeed the function itself 'works', but when you search for 'hair', and you get only 5 results, you know something is wrong... I'm thinking the google spider has flushed the archive out, or something.
