I prefer to take pictures outside in sunlight but I'm beginning to wonder if we in Massachusetts will ever see the sun again! So, being stuck inside for yet another day, I thought I'd make the best of it and try to take some pics. I'm not crazy about them but it's much harder to take good pictures inside.
I experimented with a few side parts for this update:
and brushed straight back like I used to when I had to slick it back with gel:

I spent the first week of this month scuba diving in Bonaire. I had a great time but my hair really suffered. I lost my jojoba oil by spillage on the way down. Here's a pic of a wreck I penetrated. I also set a new depth record of 155 feet! Yay!
and a sunset pic:
Hey Jason your hair looks Super, and like the different looks!! Take care and keep it up, you look great!
Hi Jason,
Thanks for the update and wow the hair is really looking great and very sleek to and even longer. Keep it growing.
I like the last picture, very restful.
John.B
I *love* the half-ponytail!
Hi Jason,
your hair is looking better than ever before! Just like João, we both need to re-lubricate our hair whenever we spend time in salt water. In any case, diving is fun - so you had to do decompression stops on the way back up, I suppose, and, this was your first visit to a European country (Netherlands) - without going to Europe this time ;-)
C U soon!
Hans-Uwe
Well, my computer was very unhappy once I passed 130 feet, the supposed limit of recreational diving. It enforced a mandatory 4 minute stop at 15 feet. This is the first time I've seen it go beyond the standard 3 minute safety stop. To be on the safe side though, I did a 3 minute stop at 30 feet and 10 minutes at 15 feet.
It sure felt like I was in the Netherlands! Dutch was everywhere and the Dutch women, lol! Looking forward to August!
Jason
nice cat, nice hair :)
be glad to have such full & normal growing hair ...
your pics and your website rule =)
greez,
ALH

nice cat.... what breed is it, its got red eyes...
Great pictures Jason!
And your hair, simply awesome!
- Oren
Look pretty darn good to me. I particularly like the last one before the diving pic - I love that style. And that's one MONSTER cat, lol!
Jason,
Your hair looks awesome ... especially like the third picture you posted. The half-tail looks great - that is how I used to wear my hair when it was your length and I got a lot of positive comments on it when I did.
Keep it growing!
Karsten
If there was any hair type I'd prefer, it would be yours Jason. Almost completely straight with some slight wave and plenty of thickness. Looks awesome!
Hey Jason, your hair looks fantastic. It continues to improve with added length. I like the photo with the cat. Keep growing it.
long hair forever.
Absalom
Really nice Jason. I like all the "experiments." And the Sunset photo should probably be considered a "work-of-art" Photo.
Thanks so much for sharing the pics with us. Your hair is looking great!
Hi Jason,
Your hair is looking exceptional, like always. The back shot really shows how long it is getting now. It looks to be about 14-15 inches now. Have you measured.
Your hair is in really good condition, despite the salt water 'torture'. Nice sheen and smoothness. How often do you use jojoba oils? Do you ever deep condition your hair?
I don't see you getting any split ends, not for a long time, which is a good thing.
I enjoyed the experimentation with half-tails and side parts. I also love experimenting with my own hair, it makes for some interesting and fun looks. Have you ever tried mini braiding with small locks of hair? Kinda like corn rows, very thin and tight braiding technique.
I'm glad the beard is a kepper, it looks great.
I enjoyed the last photo for some reason. It just looks very peaceful and shows your inner self connecting with nature.
Take care, Jason.
That's a great picture of you and the cat. The weather's not much better here either. Your hair looks so well taken care of and the color is just so unique. I know you are very happy with it, and I hope it grows as long as you want.
See you later, Bragi
Excellent !!
Love the hair, Love the cat.....and Jealous of the Trip !!
Thanks for sharing

Absolutely jaw-dropping. Jaw-plummeting. lol, oh, the jealousy.
I like the side-part, but the center part works just as well. I like the brushed-back look with the pet in hand, too. :P All of the styles you showcased are actually looking quite spectacular, particularly the half-tail. With your hair color, it's just something sublime to behold, and I'm sure many people around you are beholding!
Your lifestyle continually surprises me. Snowboarding? Scuba-diving? Wrecks? Awesome! I'll catch up with you one day, don't worry...lol.
Peace, dude, and keep the greatness going!
Haha, such superlative words of praise! Thank you..
I'm not overly bold to wear these different styles outside. I have worn the halftail once but hope to get in the habit of wearing it more out.
I guess I'm an adrenaline junkie of sorts. I love that tingly feeling in my stomach when tackling something new.
Likewise....your hair continues to amaze. It's going to look even cooler as it gets really long!
Thats a great updated I wish mine was as good as yours but it aint by far. Ive recently been to your site lol you have experiment with all different haircuts before you grow it very long looks alot better long but which Cut did you like best before deciding on the best long hair Its looks great on you you should keep growing it to your Terminal Length !
Axel
I'm flattered by your comments.
To answer some questions: I never really liked any of my short styles. I kind of liked my long bang look only because it was a means to have some kind of long hair at the time.
The top has been growing since January 2004, the back since August 2004.
I experimented with small braids once but a long time ago - I think it was November 2001.
My goal is to have at least lower back length, maybe belt-length.
