Well...
Despite the fact my hair has been pissing me off a bit lately, post my update for 18 months. Why the anger? I can't do anything with it! It's either in a beanie, or I wear it down.
I haven't had any trims yet, and in all actuality I'd like to hold off on those until I reach the 2 year mark. If my hair is damaged (which I'm sure some parts are) it's very minimal, and my hair rarely tangles.
So anyhow, here's the photo...and hopefully what's left of the awkward phase will be completlet gone at the 2 year mark.
Again, thanks everyone for the advice on the forum. This place rules.
Great progress, congrats on 18 months, and great looking hair Zac!
There is no "bad" hair - just great hair and great hair under construction.
Keep up the good work,
- Oren
Great progress, Zac.
I believe you are being too hard on yourself. I am a bit of a perfectionist myself . You will reach your goal with time and patience. Hang in there. Good to see a happy Zac :)
Hi Zac hope all is well with you.Anyway great pics of your hair and from what I see it looks to be in perfect condition.I'm sure many here would love to have hair like yours as I thinks it looks awesome.Hope you stick with the hair and don't cut it as its really does look good on you.Keep us all posted on your progress.Mark
That's because, despite what you say, you can't help showing your delight with your fabby hair. It looks great. Can't you get a half pony going with it? My hair is about that length at around the face and I can tie those bits back - of course you don't get much of a "tail" but I still think it would look excellent and might give you a break even if you just wear it round the house!
There is certainly nothing awkward about that hair you have. It looks great and I bet there is not much damage at all in the ends of it.
Anger, let that go, you have hair that most guys would love to have. It is so dark and silky looking. Before long, you could tie it back. You probably almost can to some extent. A half-tail would no doubt look great. Loose looks great too of course.
And no, not a strange smile, a coy smile.

GREAT progress! AMAZING hair!!! Many people want such a beautiful hair.
Hey Zac
18 months is a real tough part of the Awkward Stage. Just hang-in-there and continue to let it grow. Your hair looks magnificent and you are doing everything right. Alas, one is usually their own worst critic about themselves.
I know the 2 year mark (or at least it used to be) meant someone was a "true" Longhair. But even at 2 years, though very much more settled, the hair can still play some nasty tricks as more length is still needed until gravity stops its little game. Sudden big flips on the ends (even though one would hardly think possible by then can happen.)
Great photos of someone dedicated to having longhair and achieving fantastic results despite not quite being all the way there yet. But, you ARE getting so much closer and closer. Believe me, in the end ALL will be worth more than you could possibly realize.
Justin
If you're in the awkward stage, I don't want to know what I'm in. :P Darn beautiful Native American hair. *grumbles incessantly*
Interesting change of color from your previous updates/avatar, and your hair is looking healthier as well. It seems that special hairbrush thingy you bought a few months back is working wonders for ya.
Have you ever tried a pony/half-tail, or any style other than loose? I think it'd look just as awesome as your current style.
You may be a tiny bit still in the awkward stage, but compared to a few months ago, this is nothing. Just keep doing what you're doing; it obviously works.
Hey Zac, your hair looks great. Keep growing it.

Well I can see getting frustrated with the length if you want to tie it back and can't yet but there sure is nothing wrong with the quality. Super hair, it is very thick and healthy looking.
I liked the classy little photo montage with title too, very fancy :)
lucky guy and a great mane !
i think it's a very good progress for 18 mo
