This is from my trip to South Africa in January for my cousins wedding.
This picture is at 23 months without cutting.
Some of you in the past have asked for pictures when my hair is down, so here you go.
This picture does show the waviness bordering sometimes on curliness in my hair. A fact that can also make my hair look shorter than it actually is.
Anyways, what do you guys think of ol'Deano letting his hair down for a change!
It only takes one word:
MAGNIFICENT!
Justin, you've always been so supportive of me. I really do appreciate it. And just for the record, in this my 2nd time growing out, you have been quite the longhair inspiration to me.
i.e. You are the magnificent one!
Hey great shot of you and the hair. Looks great and I hope you had a great time there on your trip. Take care
Thanks Dean , for sharing this great photo. Yes, indeed, your hair looks great down and i have been wanting to see it in this state. Tied up is very practical but it doesn't do any justice to the greatness of your mane. Yes, it is rather wavy and i can see litle curls. The length is good and it has grown a bit since then i can imagine. It's also nice to see a professional photo rather than a quick camera snap :)
Your hair isn't that thin, if anything, the opposite. That braid shot made your hair apear to be quite thin.
Keep up the great progress mate, it must be a huge sigh of relief to finally be a long hair again!
You don't know the half of it!
Thanks Jean, your support now and in the past has really meant a lot to me.
You're a good mate, and a fellow that I'm proud to be on the longhair road with.
I can only reiterate what everyone else has said Deano, its superb, classic, and really looks like it hangs well too.
BTW Deano, was it you that had the Three Muskateers type 'tasche and goatee, I think it was, and that was a really good look. Do think you might go down that route again?
First of all, thanks for the kind words Dave, although they do kind of go against your 'nutti' moniker (i.e. they are perfectly sane to me!).
In any case while I mixed it up with the goate (the stache was a constant), for the better part of 3 years I did have that look you describe.
I initially wanted a change, then I wanted to see how long I could grow my moustache. Unfortunately despite the very occasional trim, those 3 years showed me that at least at this stage of my life, I cannot grow a super long moustache (it went like an inch below my lower lip max).
Most of my friends and basically all of my family were in strong opposition to me with facial hair, yet despite all that I grew it for as long as I wanted and cut it all off when I wanted.
I do intend to grow it back again in the future, maybe even have it periodically.
As to you dave, I'm sure you realise that you're lucky in suiting stubble to beard, or just clean shaven.
That is an exellent picture! Your hair looks just as good down as up. Keep up the good work.
