Have you guys ever thought about adding a spell check tier to posting? Boards that have them make me sound so much more intelligent! LOL Hope you get my meaning even if we kant spel good down her in Gawgy :-) RedTail Wolf EAPFP
This isn't really helping to get the board a spell checker, but if you use firefox I know of a plugin that allows you to highlight a word and search it on dictionary.com. It usually helps me when I think I might be spelling something wrong. :)
My firefox used to search on Dictionary.com. Now i've got the latest version of it it takes me to the chambers dictionary :(
I have to fight the urge not to correct all the twisted spellings of 'definitely' and 'ridiculous' that turn up on this board! And don't get me started on apostrophes.
Clearly, I need help.......
Why is the word 'definitely' so challenging? It's derived from the word 'finite'. Does anyone spell that as 'finate'? Of course not!
The whole it's versus its confusion is a lost cause.
Me too...
One thing that really gets to me is when 'of' is used instead of 'have'. I should of done that, instead of I should have (should've) done that.
Hey Red Wolfey ! I sure understand the problem...
I can type at nearly 100 wpm, but only spell at 3 wpm !!
Try typing your message in "Word" or whatever processor you use. Do the spellcheck there, then "cut & paste" to the MLHB site message block.

lol, i am no English master but i try to spell correctly and structure my sentences. Most of my spelling errors are just typos, not that i don't know how to spell a particular word. The power of proof reading - i always proof read my messages before i post. Although, if you don't know how to spell correctly in the first place proof reading is useless.
