I just can't beleave it! After 40 years of trying, we did it!
And the singers have nice hair too...
I'm not really into hard rock, but that song is just awsome!
It simply 'pwnd' the contest, kudos to you Lordi, kudos!
hmm...it had exactly the same formula and structure as any other eurovision song...but with guitars
Should that be amazing!!!

Congratulations ! I wonder where United Kingdom came :-)
They came in 19th place with 25 points, whilst Finnland was in 1st place with 292 points.
Oh dear thats very sad :-( just goes to show the british dont have very good taste in music now a days when they do Pop Idol and Rubbish like that
Oh Axel,
Give some Brit's on this board that we have taste and owt wrong with the finns winning it for a change.
John.
Terve,
It's about time Finland won the contest and I'm glad they Lordi won it for sure and better than rap sh1t that the UK entry!!! I drank with the drummer on my trip to Finland back in October!!!
Kiitos,
Moi Moi,
John.
I´m not surprised...
Finland´s got some of the best singers I´ve ever had the pleasure to hear...
Congrats to your great country!
The surprising thing is that a hardrock band dressed as monsters won a contest that is famous for containing only brainless bubblegum-pop.
That is actually pretty funny. I went and check out this Lordi outfit on allofmp3.com to see what they sound like! Pretty kick-ass stuff! May have to go buy thier album. Now, would'nt it be hilarious to see some off-the-wall metal outfit like that take "best album" or "best artist" at the Grammys instead of the usual rehashed trash that normally does?
What is it?? I've never heard of it. Just curious :-)
It's a songcontest for the European countries. It's been going on annually for more than a half decade.
It's traditionally popmusic, but this year Lordi entered with a hardrock song and won it.
Thanks for letting me know, that sounds pretty cool! :-)
Eurovision is a silly european music contest that comes to european tv once a year with a sense of humour - it's funny
Finland won, they're NOT hard rock (ffs guys! have you ever heard of METALLICA ???) but they were different in that they weren't stuipid pop-mush-crap, and they bloody deserved to win, best song (if you've ever heard the entries you'd know why hence the sense of humour) and they had a sense of humour...
and eurovision/europe, have you never heard of Abba (also from the chilly north of europe)???
So, everyone head for Finland next year and see what you're missing! (because that's where the next contest will be cos Finland won, its tradition!)
