I was at yet another Metal Night in Sweden this past weekend.
There were five bands playing.

First played Taketh, a swedish thrash/death band. Really cool set, and seems like nice guys too. The leadsinger wore the greatest t-shirt I've seen in a while "Guns don't kill people, kids who play videogames do!"
Then Shadowbuilder entered the stage and played some extremely tight deathmetal. The vocals were very different from most bands I've heard before, it definately wasn't ordinary growling. Anyway, very cool show as well. I bought their demo for 10sek (a bit more than 1 dollar)
Third band was Royal Anguish from the US. I'd heard one or two mp3's of them before but hadn't really thought much of them. That changed when they played here! Very nice extreme metal mixed with more melodic stuff. They had a sort of gothic feel, with keyboards and a female vocalist. The show was a real eyeopener, and I hurried to buy their newest album they brought with them.
Trendkill played some nice metalcore. They were very energetic and put on a good show, but I sat out most of the concert cause I needed to rest my legs.
Exhale closed the festival this time. They're a seriously great swedish Grind band. They're really really cool, and I've heard them compared to Nasum already (they've released one demo, and one full lenght). Highly recommended if you're into that style!
I don't normally listen to grind, but this band opened my eyes!
I really wish I live in a western country... man in Taiwan there are no rock, I mean there are so few people that knows about rock n roll in Taiwan that I can count them with my hand. However the only thing popular here is either pop music or some hip pop stuff. Rock concerts is like a once in a lifetime occurance here. And when they do have them ticket prices are sky high.
That's too bad, man. How come you moved back to Taiwan?
Lonnng story... lets talk about this in private.
God, how I love metal nights! Some kick-ass pictures, plus I bet the music was kick-ass as well!
Hmmm.... May have to post those pics I got from the Nevermore/Evergrey show I was at a couple of weeks ago :).
Play it HARD! Play it LOUD! Keep it METAL! :)
Thank you, and it definately was!
Do that!
Up the irons!

Heard of it, but never been that high up in Sweden.
How is the climate up there?
