Its been 2 months since my last progress report so here's a lil update! Its now 11 months since my last haircut - I took the advice of everyone here and avoided maintenance cuts and it seems to be growing just fine.
I think I've been quite lucky so far inasmuch as my hair has never really felt awkward to me. Perhaps that stage is yet to come! Anyway I use the smallest amount of gel on the front to keep it out of my eyes and it works great.
The longer my hair gets the happier I become! I'm so pleased I made this decision, and am thankful for this site - you guys are great!

Im not sure if I want to... man that guy is WEIRD... of course he's probably being pious so the church of scientology gives him money for being pious and promoting it...
It's looking great so far and a nice difference from you're avatar pic. The best is yet to come and I'm sure that you'll be feeling better and better as every week and month goes by.
I happen to have been growing mine for roughly the same amount of time and am looking forward to regaining long hair again.
Simply persevere and you will be exactly where you want to be in no time, and looking and feeling all the better for it too.
