It's been close enough to 6 months now, and I've been receiving nothing but good comments on my hair! Even people who were totally against the idea of me growing it out now tell me "don't get it cut short again"! It also feels a lot more comfortable and fuller than it did even a few months ago. I'm so happy with the progress and I'm looking forward especially to progress over the next 6 months. And I also have to say thanks for the advise here it's great!

BTW, the goatee looks cool...it suits you.
It's looking good so far, man. You seem to be a lucky one with relatively straight hair, so you'll be visibly at shoulder length in no time!
I especially like the entity comprised entirely of light that's floating on the left side of your head. ;)
