Greetings everyone! I finally got around to getting a digital camera to take some progress pics with! I kinda had to take them by myself seeing as no one was around to help. Luckly they(the pictures) didnt come out that bad(The back shot did though!)
Here is how my hair looks after a rough day at school and work

Here is how it looks when its wet and not combed how I normaly have it:

And finally here is how it looks once I comb it so it looks shorter than it really is(in the front atleast!) So I keep my parents at bay(for the time being!)

Over all how does it look? About 11 months ago I was forced to have it cut down to 1 inch all over my head for my senior pictures. They came out pretty bad in my opinion because all my colleks(The way your hair grows) show up pretty badly.
I have been fighting with my parents for about 8 or 9 months now. Every day they constantly tell me how bad they think it looks... But I know its mostly just them. When I ask my friends they say it looks fine and better than how I looked with short(er) hair. My dad is crazy conservative when it comes to hair styles... He thinks men should get hair cuts atleast once every 3 weeks. You can probably guess how pissed off he is at me all the time after seeing the pictures...
Also, is hair supposed to feel stiff and rough all the time? Mine feels really thick, stiff and pretty coarse/rough. I stopped using bar soap on it about a month ago and switched to shampoo(which I only use 2 times a week) and I havent noticed any difference. I dont use conditioner at the moment, should I be?
Your hair is looking well! Been growing the same time as mine, and is roughly the same length. I've started using conditioner past 2 months and it really helps to keep the hair smooth and tangle free.
Good luck with your progress and don't give up!
Silky and healthy. Great progress in just 11 months.
Congratulations.
Super great photos despite all and fabulous looking hair!
Alas, the same happens to so many guys when growing out their hair. On the flip side of the coin, once grown-out in many many cases the parents suddenly tout to others the attributes of your long mane. Warning: If at all possible do not give-in. Once done, the journey to long hair probably will never happen. Hold your ground.
YES! By all means. You should notice a great difference.
It looks very strong and healthy in the pics, but I would definitely add a conditioner to your routine if the texture feels rough.
