    Thank you. The woman who trims and colours my hair regularly seems to think I could grow it to the floor. However, I've not thought about how long I wish to grow it. I'm happy with this length. Although, when you have natural curly hair, like me, It gets easier to maintain as it grows longer. So i'm just gonna keep growin' for now.

    Thank You. My natural color now is ash brown. At 36-years old, my hair has gone through some color changes over the years. My mom is a red head. So it seems no matter what color my hair is coloured, there's always a red pigment which emerges. My colorist colours it a golden-brown, and then of course the red comes out to finish the shade. Oddly enough, my mom recently sent me some elementary school photos, and my hair is exactly this shade. So I guess this is my natural color, lol. My colourist appreciated seeing these photos. A GOOD colorist, especially at my age, I feel is so important. They can bring out your eyes, skin, features. Not to mention take years off of your face. Can not say enough...

If you're anywhere near Washington DC I might consider visiting your stylist, as I've got 4 1/2 years of growth that's never been trimmed, and I've been thinking about it.

    I'm a firm believer in trimming one's hair every three months. I like the feeling of blunt ends, easier to manage, less breaking off and ultimately allows you to grow it longer. I always want a half-inch. My hairdresser always talks talks me out of it, so much less is taken off on these visits. She's a huge LOTR fan. Her dog's name is Aragon, enough said. I find it's best to find someone and stick to them, which not a lot of people do. I've been going to her for five years. I feel safe in her chair. I live in San Diego, California, as does she, so she's a little far for you to visit. Thank you. Take care and good luck.

      I'm a firm believer in trimming one's hair every three months. I like the feeling of blunt ends, easier to manage, less breaking off and ultimately allows you to grow it longer.
      Go for the trims for the blunt line but for maximum growth the trims can only reduce the result. Each hair has a set time to grow before falling out, every trim means the hair will be that much shorter times the number of trims than it could have been. Ober time that adds up. Since you have a great stylist who takes less than you ask (treasure her!) it shouldn't be too much of a difference and with a preference for blunt it sounds like you aren't looking for maximum length anyway.
      Steve, if you ever come visit me and Bill we'll take a San Diego field trip for your trim. :-D

  Very cool picture, doubt you intended it that way but the color and texture of the pic make it look like a very old painting from a time when hair like yours was much more appreciated :)
