My air conditioner's been busted for a couple days, and it's getting fixed tomorrow. So today, to deal with the heat and humidity, and dunked my head in the sink until my hair was soaked.
Then I patted it dry with a towel and just slicked it back.
Now, my goal was just to cool off. However, two hours later, my hair having dried from the air and also from a fan I have in my room...I'm feeling it right now, and it feels GREAT. It's so thick and soft. It feels better than it does even when I wash it.
It's so odd. Has this happened to anyone else before? I didn't know sinks were so special :P

Unless the sink has a different water source than the way you usually wash your hair, I'm wondering if the water rinse took some product residues off, Ender. Be glad whatever the reason, people pay good money to have thicker and softer hair and you just need your magic sink.

I think I know why it could be.... I'm no scientist, but I think it's because of....
1. Heat and sweat open the cuticle of your hair and makes.
2. You soak it in water... the cuticle is wide open and absorbs all the moisture...
3. The cold water closes the layers of the cuticle and seals it, but having absorbed moisture, it becomes soft and managable.
My hair is super curly in humidity (every summer), and I have to wet it just to get it untangled at times. It becomes one giant knot that I just can't get a brush/comb through.
I spray on leave in conditioner, wet, add some jojoba oil to the ends, and brush (starting at the end and working my way up). If not, I sit for hours trying to get it untangled.
During winter months, I brush it and get static...enough to shock anyone around me! :-P
