Hi everyone!
I haven't been posting much, but I do check in from time to time to see how everything's going here. Glad to see that the hyperboard is as active as ever!
Anyway I just wanted to let everyone know I've reached my two year point. I will attempt to get a digital camera and get some photos taken so I can post them soon (not sure when that'll happen though!).
I am now considering my first trim, and that brings me to my question. I know a lot of people like the "V" appearance, where the hair in the middle of your back is longer than the rest of your hair. I currently have this "V". However, I am considering having it cut to even out the length at the length of my bangs, which comes down to about, or a little bit passed, my shoulders and then letting it grow out evenly. I'd be losing about 4 or more inches off the back I think. Is this recommended or encouraged? Any advice would be appreciated!
Well thanks in advance for any suggestions. I will try to get some updated photos soon!!
Personaly I like the even look the best. Some like the V. It's a matter of preferance. If having that extra 4 inches is important to you then dont get a trim. However if you dislike the way it looks you could get the trim and still have longhair. Currently the back of my hair is longer than the bangs and I would like them to be even, but at this point and time I'm not willing to let go of that growth as doing so would make my hair much shorter than I am willing to work with. Like I said it's a matter of preferance, which I'm sure is why you're growing to begin with. Just make sure that whatever desicion you make is well thought through and completly what you want. 4 inches is about 8 months. That's a long time. Anyway, I wish you the best with whatever you choose and can't wait for the pictures. -Katamah ^.^
I had 1 inch taken off every 6 months until it was all one length. 4 inches at once is a scary loss to me! That's like...8 months of growth!!!
