Ok... I've heard talk of people actualy using the chat room? When did this happen? I've gone in there on a few occasions and I was the only one there. When do people use it? I would love to talk to board members in a chat like enviornment, but until now I thought that the room was basicly dead. If anyone could clarify I would be greatly appriciative.

I think its like fishing and youre the bait, seriously. Somebody has to get on and sign in to the room and sit there and then you go do something esle on your pc and check every few minutes, you need to type in something before ten minutes go by to stay logged in. Would actually be nice if we posted times when people might try to get on the chat. Not sure where you are but I am online about 6pm Eastern Standard US, I will look for you here then, maybe we can get he chat used more
Yes, it is quite similiar to fishing. You basically have to log on the chat, get the fishing rod out, put the bait, throw the line out and wait for a nibble, that being someone coming in the chat room.
I think the chat needs to be improved to make it more efficient and easy to 'catch' others. Usually, i couldn't be bothered sitting in their for days waiting for someone.
MSN still remains a much more effective communication system.
I just add all my MLHH buddies on MSN.
The thing with chat is... one long hair with too much time on his hands, sits in there 'fishing', then another dude catches the 'bait', the before you know it you have half the regular users talking in there. Once i saw about 10 people on the chat, it was a full house. I'm suprised the server even handled the load, hehehe.
I stopped using chat rooms years ago. Got too much else to do than want to sit idley by, waiting for someone to pop in and ask what shampoo I use.
BTW: I use Suave. Very cheap, but very effective. There. Didn't even need a chat room for that.
Sometimes people talk about hair there but the good part is nothing is off topic so conversation can range far and wide without annoying anybody who thinks there shouldn't be so many off topic posts. It is really a good way to get to know other people on the board better.
One man's waste of time is another's hobby I suppose, some of us like communicating online, and don't consider it a waste of time at all.
I agree. I used the chat for the first time the other day and it was fun. It was nice having an actual conversation with other board members.
^hahahah! I think these threads do the job. Long-hair or talking about it isn't the most exciting thing in the world, so I take long hair kind of laid back and slow.
Just noticed at the top of the page, under the Amazon banner:

Has that always been there cause ive never noticed it before.
I cant use the chat room at the mo cause i never enter my email address with my posts, really should start doing that.
It only shows up when the chat is being used. I forget to look up there since it is not often announcing chatters.
