Hello folks, I was in town today and in the hair accessories aisle in Boots they had these hair ties that I thought you guys might be interested in. There was a whole bundle of them on a card for £1.65 and they were black and flat - hard to describe - they looked like black cassette tape if you can imagine that albeit slightly less shiny. It struck me they would be well suited to tying mini braids as the flatness would allow for multiple revolutions without bumfling outwards as covered bands do. They also just looked quite macho in general. I'm not sure if all branches of Boots stock the same stuff but if you're passing you might want to have a lookie. There seemed to be quite a lot of them on the card so you could do some serious braiding experiments or you might just fancy them for normal ponies and braids and stuff - don't know about you lot, but I never can understand where all my covered bands disappear to!
Sounds good - anything to say goodbye to bumfling misery! [Puts on coat and heads for local branch of Boots]...
Seriously, the end of my ponytail is getting very thin and thick towelling-covered bands just look foolish when I multi-tie. I'll give these a try.
PS I noticed a while back that Superdrug had started selling black ponytail bands in the Men's Grooming section
