The last few weeks I have been constantly thinking of cutting my hair. People tell me it looks decent but I find it constantly unattractive. Generally I work outside the entire day so the heat is also starting to get to me. I am fairly set on cutting it considering it has only been about a year since I started.
I suggest you think about it. Your hair is amazingly beautiful and it definitely suits you. (Hypothetically, I even would like your hair, atlhough I am deeply satisfied with mine) It is great that you get positive comments, but it must be the first case when I see a person not finding it attractive on himself. Maybe try asking some questions to yourself. Are you sure? Will you really not regret your decision? Why do you think it looks unattractive? Is there an alternative? (e.g. hair dye, different style) etc.
I have read a book about men & women (I don't remember the name) and there was an interesting thought: we tend to feel everything on ourselves, so e.g. if we watch box match and the guy gets hit, we feel it like we were hit. Right? Now, thinking about this gorgeous hair getting cut off almost makes me cry. Of course, in the end, like I said, that is you and your decision only. Sorry if I went too far with my thoughts. :)
Definately keep it man, you look great. I love the side part, it really suits you. Maybe if you dont like long hair as much as you thought, you could at least keep it at or around the same length as it is now, because I really think it looks cool.
Now that is some beautiful hair. Don't cut it off!!
Let's look at this thing logically.
You post your pictures and your "REQUEST FOR ADVICE" on the Mens Longhair site. This is a site for men who love and cherish long hair.
Exactly what advice do you think you're going to get?
Oooh, oooh, I know . . . Every piece of advice is going to say that you should NOT cut your hair.
You know that you look fantastic. You know that most everyone you meet is likely to be extremely envious of you. You know that you've got some damn incredible hair there. And you know that you have no interest in cutting it, because you know you'd have to be an absolute fool to do so.
So let's go on from here.
(1) You're not cutting your hair. (2) You'll be eternally thankful to look like you do, and (3) You'll thank the hair-gods every day that you have such magnificent hair.
Sounds like a plan to me.
It's just that we all like to be complimented and we love hearing people talking good things about us.... so here you go bro....
Don't cut it. It looks FANTASTIC.... however it's your hair and your choice. My advice: tie it back while you work.
no shorter , no longer
all right at this length
keep your hair this lenght
trim every month
I hate to be another fan of your hair, but I think it looks great, particularly in the second pic. Maybe you ought to part your hair so it's less messy? That might solve a few problems.
You ought to grow your hair to at least ponytail length before truly considering cutting it, though. The ponytailm opens the door to a ton of possibilities, including a cooler (literally) alternative on hot days. It'll still feel a bit hot on your scalp, though, as it is now, and you don't sound too into long hair to care that much about getting a ponytail, but just give it a try. Another half-year of growth at least, and then report back to us. Good luck!
Peace
Wait another 2 weeks before making a decision. It is amazing what the passage of time can sometimes reveal.
Many a guy has acted on impulse...........and many a guy learns the hard way that they havew made a mistake and begin the whole process all over again.
Don't let yourself fall into a catagory of regrets. After 2 weeks your inner self most likely will be telling you the correct thing to do.
Your hair by the way is nothing short of astonishing!
Well, if it helps any by me telling this story...
On the first day of Summer in Y2K, I impulsively cut off my waist-length hair... 2 days later, I woke up deeply, DEEPLY regretting it. But, it's your hair, --- and not everyone is meant to be a life-time longhair. Sometimes, though, the best way to find this out is by learning it the hard way (as I did in Y2K); while others feel very strongly about being a longhair on the "inside", early-on in life, --- and are clear enough within themselves to identify with it, and can thus avoid making a devastating haircut mistake like I did.
But, if you do decide to cut, why not consider cutting only a modest amount off the ends, --- or maybe have is re-styled in a manner you might feel looks better on you. Right now, you're actually still in what's called "the awkward stage" (meaning... it's not long ehough yet to tie back into a ponytail; but too shaggy to stay in place at all on its own). The awkward stage of growing one's hair out is when most guys get tempted to cut, --- so, you're not alone!
Advise here on this board will be obvious: DON'T cut!!!!!!! It's a fantastic-looking head of hair!!!!!!!
But, again... it's *your* hair, --- you're the only one who has to live with it, day in & day out....

Your hair is awesome. I am very jealous. The side part looks cool. I wish I could have your hair transplanted onto my head. Please make sure you are really don't want long hair before you cut off such nice hair.

Just to update, I decided and cut my hair. I now have a faux hawk. I may grow it again in some time. I just dont feel like it was working out for me, thank you for the support regardless.
I guess I was 5 minutes too late huh!
(in reality probably hours or a couple a days though).
Anyway, with that style your hair won't bother you so much, and it will probably suit you better than what you had (although not what you COULD have had!).
All the best with it, maybe post a picture or 2.
Or maybe even grow out only the back only for real. That could be a cool look for you (e.g. a 10-20inch etc ponytail at the back of your mowhawk style).
Oh well never mind sorry you dont like your haircut but you was told you hair looked great before you had a fauxhawk cut maybe you should post a picture lol ok

Your hair is of great quality, but in the way it is sitting, or being styled, right now, it doesn't really suit your face.
To be honest, it looks a bit effeminate.
I also think that the way it is styled, and most importantly its length is making things very annoying for you. Am I right?
This is very important: your hair, and face are not effeminate, but this style you have in these pictures is.
The good thing is however, if you like having a side part, it will look much better when quite a bit longer and pulled back in a ponytail; or even when longer and loose (a recent frontman of a punk band had this style. Can't think of his name at the moment though).
Length is your friend here, in looks (IMO) and in comfort (generally accepted opinion).
P.S. You should probably know if you read my posts that I have nothing against short hair or awkward stage hair. I don't encourage everyone to grow longer. I just think in regards to you and your hair, that you would look much better and feel much more comfortable with longer hair.
...or with shorter hair. Of course, it's up to you.
Dear Adrian, I am sad that you cut your hair because it was starting to look really great. Maybe sometime in the future you can regrow it.

I hate to sound homo here, because I'm not, but dude, your hair's sexy and I'm sure some of the ladies think so...you're going to cut it?!?!?!?!? Crazy talk!!!
