Here's my hair after nine months, with some gel on the sides/top to keep it out of my face:
And for comparison, here's what it looked like before I started growing it out:
Please let me know what you think!
Thanks,
Dino
What a transformation that is! It all looks excellent.
I like the reddish color & earrings too :-)
that's amazing and it looks great too. i like the reddish color lol
Thanks. I think the "red" color may just be my camera -- I think I have it set to a "warm" setting. My hair is actually dark blond, and I haven't dyed it in many, many years. (Not that I wouldn't consider it... but then again, I don't like the potential damage that hair color can inflict.)

That's pretty good for having been completely bald 9 months before. How much length did you get exactly, and are you taking any special vitamins, or anything like that?
It looks great, Dino, but how is it possible to grow so much so fast? That is incredible, did you do something we should know about?! Absolutely amazing! It won't take you long to be a longhair thats for sure.
Hi Chris,
I have to clarify: The last time I cut my hair was nine months ago, but it didn't look like the buzz cut picture at that time. I didn't mean to mislead anyone into thinking that it was nine months from nothing to what it is now. When I cut my hair last, in August of last year, it was still rather short, but definitely not like the buzz picture. That picture, if I remember correctly, dates from March or April of last year. I started growing it out more, but would still cut it from time to time (probably twice, but I don't know for sure).
That said, I seem to have been blessed with hair that grows very quickly. Now that I've found this group, I can post regular progress pics, and so I'll be able to tell definitively how fast it grows, as I never really kept track of it before.
Peace!

If I may be candid, you do look younger or more youthful in the photo taken 9 months ago. That may have a lot to do with the appearance of your facial hair, which has gray in it, in the picture taken recently.
Hi Carla:
I have a secret. (Well, not anymore!) I dye my facial hair. In the older photo, it's dyed dark brown. In the newer photo, it's dyed dark blond, to match my hair, but the gray stands out more too. If I don't dye it, it's really gray! (I'm 40 years old, by the way.)

Do people even recognize you anymore, Dino? With your shaved head your eyes get lots of attention and now I look at your face as a whole framed by all that hair. Both are dramatic looks in such diferent ways and both look good.
Elizabeth
Thanks, Elizabeth! Actually, I smile and laugh a lot, even back in my shorthair days. Maybe I was trying to look sexy or something for the camera... obviously, that backfired! LOL
As for people recognizing me, it's actually quite funny. I look back at older photos of myself, and I have so many different looks, it's hard to even believe it's the same person. Sometimes I'll see someone I haven't seen in years, and they almost always have a hard time believing that it's me (for better or worse).

Well, all I can say is: you are one lucky guy to have such a great-looking hairline, AND great-looking hair!! My hairline used to go straight across my forehead like yours when I was younger; but it's slowly receded a bit at the temples over the years (I'm 52).
As far as the shaved head pic goes... you're also lucky to be blessed with such a nicely-shaped head. But, with hair like that... who care how nicely-shaped a bald head is! I'd let it grow down to my knees, if it were my head!!!

Ken, thank you kindly for the compliments; I really appreciate that. You're not so bad yourself.
My only regret is that I never bothered to really grow my hair long when I was younger. Ah, well...
peace,

A great improvement from your last picture :-)
Axel
Thanks! (I think.) :-)
