Ok where to start...
1st Question
I have a 'crown', I guess thats what it is called on the top right of my head, where the hair is a little thinner. I would compare it to the picture I posted only its higer and to the right and the area is much much smaller. It is not thin all around like that its jst one spot a little smaller than the corner, where you can see my scalp. I didnt notice it until about a month ago, dont know how long its been there. But my question is, when i grow my hair ot how will it affect the crown?
2nd Question
The longest I've ever had my hair is when my bangs go down, when pulled, to about the middle of my eyes. By this point it is very curley, hence the pulling. It is wavy on top, curley in the front and back, and curley at the ends of the sides. I hate it being wavy on the top. :) Note: It is not massively crazy curley. If I where to cut just the curles of would they immediately grow back or take longer to?
3rd and Final Question
How do you guys think my hair will turn out, given the information I've posted. Pictures would be great :).
Thanks in advance,
Adam
Sorry about the double post of the topic, don't know how it happend. But I forget to ask if anyone knew any good shampoos and conditioners. Thought I'd mention again my hair does get wavy. Also how often should I shampoo/condition for hair like mine? It has a greasy/dirty look to it after abouut 2-3 days.
I imagine that it will turn out fine if you do grow it. You may be very pleasantly surprised to find out how it does grow. And as for the little thinned out spot, well don't give it a second thought, if that the apprehension you have for growing the hair. If you do grow your hair, it'll still be there, but if you don't mind, then it does not matter. That's mind over matter!
Start by just letting it grow for a while without worrying about how the waves or curls do or do not fall like you want.
I know that I was pleasantly surprised as my hair got longer with what happened. Now I get to do it all over again too ;-)
Hey thanks for the comment Bragi! I flipped out over the thin part of my hair at first but I settled down and as long as it doesnt get any bigger im fine with it.

I know what you mean!
It won't effect the crown in making it bigger or thinner unless you wear a tight ponytail (I mean really really tight) '24/7' which can lead to a specific type of thinning (the name escapes me at the moment). However luckily for all of us, this is very easy to avoid doing.
Having long hair may show up or reveal your crown more however as gravity and length are pulling your hair down from the top. Conversely with short hair, it is easy for the crown to be covered by short hair which tends to stick UP.
The way you tail your hair may also result in the crown being very visible, or it being completely covered.
I have 3 crowns or 'sworls' so I am very aware of all of this!
If I where to cut just the curles of would they immediately grow back or take longer to?
Don't even think of doing this! Maybe you phrased what you were trying to say incorrectly, but if I'm reading you literally that would mean that you are either going for a mullet, or going to keep your hair 'long' at less than 6 inches!
You can't have long hair if you cut it off.
The only thing you should ever consider cutting off when having long hair, or growing long hair, is neck hairs (see the post below on the board for an example)or split ends-which are a long long ways away for you if you ever do get them.
(Of course there are other long hair styles which involve cutting. You could always get a mullet for example, which is short on top and long in the back-When long in the back AND the sides it is a pretty cool look in my opinion.)
See the picture above.
Just a guesstimate though!
