hey, dino--in one of your posts you said you dye your facial hair. what do you use, just regular hair dye, or what? and how do you do it?
Hi Randy:
Originally I used "Just for Men," which is specially formulated for facial hair, and I found it inadequate, but that was years ago, and the product has been improved since then. After I didn't like the results, I bought some hair color at a local beauty supply store -- L'Oréal, among others, makes various hair color products -- and a bottle of creme developer, and mixed them myself. The results were decent, and I tried a lot of different colors before I found the one(s) that I liked.
Since then, however, I've gone back to Just for Men, and the product is better than it used to be. I bought the dark blond color, and it seems to work very well, although I leave it in for ten minutes (as opposed to the recommended five), because my goatee is almost totally gray and needs the extra time to be decently colored.
As to how I do it, I use the little brush that comes with the Just for Men kit, mix it up, and apply it generously, making sure to coat each hair. Then I leave it in for ten minutes, as I mentioned, and rinse it out completely. It's very easy, and doesn't take a lot of time.

...that it's important to go all the way to the edges of your beard/mustache with the color, because otherwise only the center portions will have the color and the outer ones will remain undyed, and the contrast may be weird, depending on how different the dye is from your natural hair color. Don't worry too much about getting it on your face, as long as you remove it from your skin right away and not let it sit there. My skin isn't very sensitive, though, fortunately.

I dont know what dino uses, but I dye my facial hair to match my dyed black hair... I use Just For Men beard and facial hair dye.. It works great... dyes my beard a very good looking black, it also comes in a variety of stores that can be picked up usually anywhere that sells mens grooming / hair dying supplies.

Actually heres a pic, I just redid the hair dye and beard dye last night... enjoy
Nice, very nice, Matt. What color is your natural color?
When I was a kid, of course, mine was light blond, the towhead variety, and darkened up as I got older. But even now, when I'm out in the sun a lot, as I always am in the summertime, it lightens up considerably. I've always been curious, though, about dyeing it very dark, or black. I don't think I have the right skin tone for that, but I'm still curious nonetheless.
Thanks for the compliment, my natural hair color is a dirty blond color, Ive always been a fan of dark hair myself... During the winter times I tend to look rather vampirish with black hair due to pale skin in the winter, but as you can see during the summer Im not so pale due to my job (construction inspector) I am outside all the time.
