So I decided against the undercut and bought a decent brush. But last night I also tried something that I'd read about as a dandruff treatment. Also, a friend of mine said she sometimes does something similar.
I treated my head with the juice of one lemon mixed with about 1/3 cup of olive oil. I read that one of the primary functions of hair conditioner is that it is an acidic substances which gives the hair a positive charge which promotes hydrogen bonds between the keratin molecules which makes the hair shaft more compact and durable. So that's what the lemon does, and the olive oil supplements your natural sebum.
So I massaged the stuff into my scalp for about 1/2 hour, then rinsed it out and shampooed twice with my nature's gate keratin shampoo. Wow, my hair has never been more managable. Of course, it is still a bit oily but basically it just looks like it is damp towards the bottom. The most amazing thing is that when i run my fingers through the bottom half, which was all poofy before, it feels about 1/3 as thick and there are zero tangles all the way through. There are very few frizz hairs sticking away up top either. It's been less than 24 hours so I'll have to see the long term effects but as of right now, I'm really glad I did this.
i'm pretty sure i'm not Greek :p
