yo wassup long time no post. anyway. im pretty sure this question has been asked a million times but cant seem to find any recent ones though. so.
question is if you tie back hair into say a ponytail for most of the time, does it slow down hair growth considering that some hairs get caught and crap and get destroyed when you tie it and so forth. Or.. it just doesnt affect hair growth and grows at same rate when you wear hair loose.
i don't think it affects hair growth one way or another, personally. i seem to have a lot less breakage, etc. when i wear my hair in a ponytail or braid because it's not so prone to get tangled as when i wear it loose.
Nope not at all.. has no effect
No, never experienced that
The most I can think of is that you might pull out or at least damage some of your hairs, but if you just damage them, they won't grow any slower; they might just frizz up and look like they're growing more slowly. *shrugs*
...and I wear my hair that way all the time. I can only speak for myself
but my hair is as thick and healthy as it ever has been.
Don't worry about it. Just use ties that are cloth coated and metal-free.
