Anyone have any weird over-protective acts? I might be crazy about my hair.
Well, my dad showers with a lot of bar soap (VERY severe skin-dryness when it comes to my dad's soap) and there is excess soap on the shower knobs. When I touch the knobs I smell the soap on my hands. I rinse my hands in the running water from the shower, but I STILL not dare touch my hair. I haven't applied any hair products for the last 3 days.
I am thinking of bringing some kind of water-proof cloth with me to turn the shower knobs. I hate barsoap.
Over-protective? thanks guys.
If you are getting some kind of reaction from just touching bar soap you probably have sensitive skin, and would have to use medicated soap specifically for sensitive skin. However there isnt enough soap on your hands to really do much of anything to your hair. I used to wash my hair with bar soap when shampoo wasnt available. But then I have greasy hair so it varies. Not all hairs are created equal.
I don't think touching residues of bar soap is going to hurt your hair. How do you wash the rest of your body if you cant touch bar soap?
Yeah, you do sound paranoid. Remeber about the silicone buildup FA mention to you, lol. You were freaking out.
I can be like this sometimes. I have OCD so it is a mixture of paranoia and other things.
For example, i might get obsessed with keeping my hands clean, so i will keep washing them and will become paranoid about getting them dirty and touching 'dirty' things.
