I am a 62 year old male in a conservative part of the U.S.
I have been growing my hair for a little over two years now.
It is about two inches below shoulder level.
Many thanks to my friends, Beth and BRGallagher, for lots of good hair care advice.
Still, I was not really sure about how well it looked.
I felt my best friends wouldn't be completely candid with me
and say what they really thought.
I figured the real test would be,
if a woman I did not know came up
and gave me an unsolicited compliment.
It finally happened.
I had just finished a computer lecture to a group of about 25 people
when a lady I had never seen before came up and said:
"I like your hair." I was almost speechless.
Then, I was wondering....Will it ever happen again?
A couple weeks later I was mistaken for a female.
She reportedly said "That lady sure had a pretty head of hair."

Must be doin' somethin' right.
p.s. Thanks also to Victor Engel for this board.
Congratulations to your hair. Your comment shows that it has evolved itself very good.

Congratulations!--and thanks for the credit given me. Only too glad to help in any way I can.
