Hey everyone, I have experienced that my hair has gotten more of a "softer" feeling to it now that it is a bit longer...is it supposed to feel more softer the longer it gets? cause when it was shorter it felt very rough and course. I like the feel of the longer hair in front more than the shorter hair in the back! has anyone else experienced this?
Logan,
My guess would be because longer hair needs better care and maintainence (brushing/combing tangles out, proper handling of the hair while washing, etc), and softer hair is a result of that. Another factor is how much sebum you produce, because the natural oils lubricate the hair shaft and ends, which may also be another cause of hair feeling "softer". Shorter hair may "feel" more coarse becuase it just is shorter, and shorter hair tends to grow out before it grows down, thus it feels somewhat "spiky". This is of course, if you have straight textured hair. Curly hair may be a different story, but I cant say exactly, because mine tends to be straighter and I am simply speaking from personal experience.
