I've really grown bored with my hair lately. So unless things get better soon, I'm defintley pulling out the big ugly scissors. I'm really tired of this awkward-phase stuff.
If I do decide to tough things out, can anyone give me an estimate on when everything will be one length!? That would be great.
Thanks
Zac
The longer your hair gets, the uneven part becomes less noticeable. So just keep growing and cut it when it is longer. good luck.
You are almost there! :-) Just about another 5 months........and these will be a breeze compared to the worst of all that you have gotten yourself through. You are just so close before gravity wins out............and you have such great looking hair to work with!
Thanks for the words Justin, they certainly are appreciated.
I have thought about cutting it off, but I've also thought about how lame that would be, considering I've made it this far.
Not to burst your bubble but... it'll never be one length based on its current status. You have to either even it out now or later on.
Please dont cut it. Its awesome. I cant wait till mine is that long.
Personally I think your hair looks just great.
If you're even still in the awkward phase at all, I think it'll end very soon.
Oh, and it will all be one length whenever you decide to trim the back. So that's up to you :P
Whatever you decide to do certainly is up to you, but your hair is very 'ace' looking and will all even out soon as Justin said on its own. You have great hair for showing length. The front/sides may never catch the back, but when the front/sides get some more length, it will all kind of blend together, as that is my observation from other's experiences here, not my own.
Good luck.
I don't get it. What are you complaining about? Most of the guys that contribute to this board would love to have your hair.
But if you're really unhappy, set a specific date . . . say next New Year's Day. If you're still not happy with it by then, then by all means, do as you wish.
I don't know this for a fact, but I suspect that some of the "hair gods" like Ed G. probably went through some "bad" times when they started on their journey. But they persevered, and now they have what most of us only dream of.
It's all up to you. Personally, I hope you get through this rough period. Don't think about today or tomorrow, think about next year, and the year after that. Just think of what you have to look forward to. Good luck.
Hey
Zac Your hair is absolutey great leave the scissors be if you like id jump on them to break them just to save your great hair its more or less out of the awkward stage you have come so far so dont cut it of now PLEASE :-(

Hey Zac, I think it looks great now but you could always trim the back if you wanted it more even, you won't have lost that much time in doing so I believe. I haven't trimmed mine all to one length cause I don't want to lose any of the back length I have but also because the difference between my back and the bangs doesn't bother me enough to make me consider trimming the back.
Go right ahead: cut it! BUT... be prepared for shedding a lot of tears & having a HUGE feeling of regret afterwards...
I say the above comment becaue in Y2K that's exactly what I did: cut. And my hair was pretty much waist-length by then. Why did I do it? I woke up one morning, bored & hating my hair that day, --- and thought I was ready for a "change" (so I picked on my hair, unfortunately).
The one benefit I learned from that devastating experience was that I was from then on COMMITTED to becoming a longhair for life, --- because I just hate short hair (lol)!
Personally, I think you have one of the most fantastic heads of hair on this board. It is amazingly thick, full, and very healthy-lloking, --- and would be a SHAME to cut!!!!!!!
And who cares about the so-called "awkward phase"??! With hair like yours, I'd be revelling in it everyday!!
IF you do end up cutting... please don't cut it short: try medium-length instead. That way, if you regret the cut, you won't have to repeat the whole, looooooooong process of starting over from scratch again!
Hope these comments help.

I would get a small trim every 6 months (only the longest part until it's all even). That won't hurt your progress, keep it neat, and slowly get it all to one length. Once it's all one length the trims will keep control of split ends, and even any fly-aways caused by breakage.
