Hey Everyone!!
Here's me at 14.5 months. Notice how a few strands go loose and it kind of looks bad. Usually after I finger comb it. I gelled my hair in the morning.
Any ideas how I can avoid that frizzy/weirdness? Maybe a different hair care product or something...
Had thoughts of cutting last week but loving my hair again this week and so glad I never cut.
Cheers
Buddy
what happened to the stachio?
haha. It looks good buddy...keep it growing. You could use some kind of frizz-control product, i use one and it works well.
Hey Buddy MacGee,
If you are having a bad hair day and get tempted to cut it just rememember the good days and how much you liked your hair. It doesnt take too much effort to try fix some hair problems and get it looking great. But if you cut it off, thats so much time and effort all gone in one blow. Just think to the future, theres so much potential with your hair.
Daz2001 (or anyone on this board for that matter!),
what is the name of the frizz product you use? Are frizz products seperate products to leave in conditioners?? i have been using a leave in conditioner to control my frizz and it hasnt been working too well. Cheers
Frizz bizz..... I use a leave in conditioner by Panteen Resoratives and it keeps the frizz at bay. Just a thought. Don't cut your hair dude! Eat A Peach For Peace! RedTail Wolf
If I am wrong about this Buddy, please let me know, but I get the sense that longhair for you is no bigger of a deal than a pair of Jeans i.e. if it wears out, then throw em out and get a new one etc.
There is nothing wrong with that whatsoever, but I'm just a curious person and I'd like to know.
On a related note, do you have any 'goals' or visions of yourself with longer hair in mind?
I just think it would be a shame to be doing this as an experiment (IF that is how you are approaching the growing of your hair), only to not realise what could be, based only on your initial attitude.
Again this is all conjecture on my part and I don't mean to offend you.
It's usually best not to question a man's motives on things like these.
In any event, I'd posit that almost everybody here has, at one point or another, thought, "Oh, the heck with it. It's not worth the work." -- usually after a particularly "bad hair day" (or week). That's the rationale behind the "two week" rule.
It's certainly a whole lot easier to take care of if it's short -- maybe 60 seconds in the morning and it's done instead of spending 20 minutes with it. This thought does cross my mind occasionally, and vanishes quickly. I've had long hair for just about my entire adult life save for a single "short" cut done to please a very ex-girlfriend -- and in going back to the pictures, even that "short" one was collar length -- "long" by most standards. I'm not about to "go corporate" despite being royally ticked off at my mane from time to time.
As far as "inspirations" go, I can't say I've ever really had one. Having long hair just seems "right".
Good thing you didnt cut it!
Lookin' good & I hope you keep growing!
Very nice. Maybe if you use a blow dryer, you might want to quit that.
If it were much better it would look artificial.

Hey Everyone!!
Hey Buddy, those curls are very cool so don't ever lose them :)
As for frizz I have straight hair but the same problem. Haven't tried lots of different products yet, I did try shampooing less often and that did not help much, I ended up with greasy and stringy looking hair that still had some loose hair that never seemed to go away at the same time. Hopefully you will find something that works for you because you have too much great to lose!
Thanks to Everyone for their responses.
Yeah, I guess that sometimes the idea of cutting my hair crosses my mind. And I have tried to grow out my hair in the past and have cut it -- And then I was like "What did I just do??"
So this is the longest I have gotten probably by about 5 or 6 months. Growing out hair is not easy for me but its what I want to do in my heart (sorry for being cheesy). But you know what I mean?
Thanks for the encouragement everyone!
Cheers, Buddy

Glad you didn't cut it, you have great hair.
I get the strays and flyaways as well, I've learned to tolerate them as a part of having long hair and a function of how ~my~ hair grows and behaves. I do find that certain shampoos, conditioners, and leave-in conditioners work better together to give me more control, YMMV with any given product or combination.
But in the end, hey, even supermodels have stray hairs. 8^)

Hi Buddy:
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: you have amazing hair. If only all us curly-haired guys had hair like yours! And I've gotta tell you that your hair suits you so well. In all your photos you look like such a nice, pleasant chap, and the hair only accentuates it.
Congrats,
Jeremy
Hey Buddy,
I have the same problem with frizzy and stray hairs to after i finger comb. right now im using Fructis sleek and shine serum but it does not seem to help. what kind of shampoo and conditioner do you use?
That is some great looking hair. By the time it gets cold again up there in Canada you will be kept well warm all winter.
Try some l'oreal melting gel. It has always worked for me.
Good luck, Bragi
Great looking curls, Buddy!

It would be a crime not to grow your hair with a body of curls like that Buddy.
Hey Buddy, your hair is looking good. As it gets longer it should become less frizzy. In about a year, your curls should become long hanging corkscrew ringlets. Corkscrew ringlets are strikingly beautiful and well worth waiting for. Keep it growing.
