I don't know how many members of this board watch VH1, but there's a four-episode series premiering tomorrow night chronicling the history of drug use in the United States
Personally, I'm interested to see it because I can't recall the last time (if any) that a major cable channel tried to go after the drug issue in anything other than an extremely negative light. From the looks of it, they're going to be mentioning why drugs were so popular in decades like the 60's and 70's
The reason I posted this though, is because I have a frightening hunch that they're going to attack longhairs and use that image as the posterchild for potheads and hippies. I'm praying they stick to the issue without any stereotyping, but I have a bad feeling they might go after us longhairs :(
We'll have to wait and see
Well it's unfortunate but that is probably going to be the reality when it is aired. 60's and 70's era, rock music, sex, long hair , drugs...fits the stereotype doesn't it?
do you know when this is airing because i would be interested to see it and many stereotype me as a drug user even though ive never done any of that stuff my entire life =(
Well it's starting tonight and I think it's running till Thursday, and I know it's 8:00 central time, but I don't know your timezone
