Have I been discouraged lately? Definetley. Too bee honest I thought about hacking it all off, in a fit of rage, but luckily a Clive Barker novella saved me from such an atrocity!
Anyway I looked through some old progress photos, and my hair seems to be growing quite steady. I really thought it had slowed, but that's just the illusion we all get as time passes.
19 months. No trims. Here's the photo from my last post.
Thanks to Ken (Urban Cowboy) & Justin for their posts.
They gave me some food for thought. It was quite helpful.
Point of this post?
After adhering to the two week rule, I've decided to continue the journey. The two year mark is less than 6 months away, and I believe by then, I'll be on my way to finally having long hair.
Growing your hair out, is really a journey, a test, and a difficult one at that. I look forward to keeping my membership here.
Thanks to everyone
Zac
Yes I have certainly noticed that. It almost tempts you to cut it sometimes but, with the benefit of prior experience by many of the guys here, my journey will be a little easier. I realise that there will be difficult times to deal with, and that patience is critical. I feel confident that I'll be able to stick it out.

Hey Zac:
when you look at your hair, think of the guy in class/at work/ on the bus with teh buzz cut. Be glad that isn't you.
Look in the mirror and see how healthy your hair is and the care you have taken with it.
That mad urge to cut happens: I got frustrated with my tb length hair last week and had the scissors hidden from me. ;)
for my feminine POV, I see good, thick healthy hair and bugger all anyone who makes comments against it.
I am curious how Clive Barker saved your hair!
Hey Chris,
I'm a huge supporter & fan of all of Clive's work. His films, his writing, and his artwork. He's an incredibly talented & gifted human being, and I identify with his works very much.
As to how Clive's work saved my hair, I was in a really bad mood, and I pulled out "The Damnation Game" out of my collection, and upon reading it...my mood changed drastically.
With the mood change, I could think a bit more clearly, and thus more long-term. That mood was the catalyst for getting over the whole "cutting of the hair" phase.
Zac
You a fan of the Hellraiser Movies Too !
Clive barker also starred in the Horror movie Nightbreed he played a baddie of course but he acted that role to perfection !

It definitely happens. Once your hair hits a milestone it takes a while for the next. During that period it seems to stop. That's when it's nice to have comparison pics. Take some new pics and compare. It's shocking sometimes to see just how much it HAS grown!
